I love walking here, getting a consistently good latte or espresso, and sitting outside. Quieter neighborhood to enjoy reading, but busy enough spot to run into folks. Usually on my list of coffee recommendations for locals or out-of-towners!
While I love their matcha, I think it’s one of the better (if not best) ones in the city, every time I have been the service was not great. I have been a handful of times and each time the barista’s friends were crowding the tiny cafe space, the barista is not friendly and hardly spoke more than a few grunts, or is doing something in the space behind the cafe and you’re left standing in the cafe for a hot minute before they notice you.
What a lovely place! Coffee is great but especially appreciate the people working there who all care about what they make and the people who come in. Special shoutout to Vern! Thanks Vern!! Keep it up ya'll - Detroit loves you
