Okay okay.. so we just came back from our trip to Italy and were searching for good gelato back in Detroit.. and this place delivers! The gelato is legit. The pistachio flavor is so good. Affagato with vanilla gelato was a hit. We are coming back for sure!

The ice cream here is fantastic. You can genuinely taste the flavors and real ingredients, and experience what makes gelato the real thing. Italian gelato with Michigan flavors and ingredients is a great combination.It's a cozy, friendly spot. It's a fun treat to have a little place to sit and have your ice cream or coffee (which is also very good) or pastry, and read one of the various newspapers they have in place. I've come a couple of times with my son before or after another activity in Detroit. It's very easy to get to and park at.

First affogato we’ve ever had and it was the best. It was so good it left an impression on us and we’ve been wanting and searching for another as we tried to come back here twice but didn’t properly check the hours of operation. The pistachio gelato affogato was one of the best culinary experiences we’ve had in a while. The customer service was also wonderful as well as the clean fresh atmosphere. ??☕️
I can't speak to the coffee as my visit fell late in the evening, but the gelato was top notch. I always judge a shop by its pistachio, and Momento's was perfection.
