Cool place with lots of food choices. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich. It kinda reminds me of a school cafeteria because of the tables. I would go again, I've already been twice.

Nice place multiple places to eat and drink some walk up restaurants better than others. Very public indoor outdoor atmosphere. Love the ambiance and vibe honestly. Quite noisy if you don't mind. But very eclectic. Walk up public napkin stations throughout the place. Even a walk up bar if that's what your into. We ate at the burger joint inside in the first floor and I got the lamb borgini burger which had no flavor... while I ordered my son the and niece the kids burgers and fries . After I made my way to the coffee place located up the stairs . All around decent experience. But very very public. If your looking for a indoor outdoor vibe with lots of people this is your place. In the heart of the city.

Located one block away from the rear of the Masonic complex. Limited street parking, nearby pay lots, one free lot that is hard to find. This portion of strip is not revitalized yet and looks pretty rough. This is a complex of stacked up shipping containers. They are arranged in two courts areas, one roofed, the other open to the sky, with two floors, one being a balcony type arrangement. This is bar and food court operation, ordering at each station. Great. Lots of choices, nice employees, clean, bright, well maintained. Food was good. Sole issue is that the open courtyard had a huge tent in it for drinking and listening to music, and it smelled badly of rot inside.

The food is amazing, the bartenders are awesome, I love this place. I just wish all the food spots were filled. A few are vacant. What's here is worth the trip. Please come and check it out!!

Popped in to check out the place. Didn't get food. I've heard it's good. And everything we saw people eating looked good. I would give 3.5 stars if I could. For now I guess just 3 since we didn't eat. My only complaint as that there was only one bar open on a Saturday evening. The line for the main bar was pretty long. The bartenders did well getting through it though. The place looked cool. I got a cocktail called Love Stoned and it was absolutely delicious. Looked and tasted like a pink drink from Starbucks. The place looked cool. If we are back in the are we may stop by again.

MAN SUCH A COOL PLACE! The vibe, the Caribbean food, the burger spot, all of it. I'd rate it 10 if I could, my only complaint is that it's not bigger! Kudos to whomever put this together, genius biz model, outstanding food and drinks and atmosphere can't recommend it enough!!

I wish I could say I took a picture of our Flyin Hawaiian burgers, but unfortunately we inhaled them just as fast as we received them! We will definitely be back!

The Detroit Shipping Company is a really cool spot. I've been a couple times and enjoyed it each time. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is unique. This time I got a lamb burger from Motor Burger and grabbed a beer from the bar. It's fun to take a walk upstairs and check out the boutiques too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

This is always a great place for a fun dinner and some drinks! Bangkok 96 crispy fried chicken bowl and Halal Street chicken and rice platter were both really good. This is also a great spot to go to before a Red Wings game! The bartenders are always super nice and helpful here and you get your food pretty quickly. If you want somewhere with good food, fun atmosphere, and proximity to LCA then this is the place for you.

Detroit Shipping Company is a fun spot! There are several dining options, as well as a full bar, in a food court, self serve atmosphere.

Detroit Shipping Co has been on my try list for years now, and I was excited when I finally had the chance to go. I'm not sure if my expectations were too high or what, but I think I was expecting more. I tried Bangkok 96, and the food was good, but I just wish there were more restaurant options. Everything seemed to be a bit the same, and it was quite pricey. The eating space was a bit cramped, and despite getting there right when it opened, it was already packed. I think I'll have to try this place again and see if it was just a fluke.

Fun place, good atmosphere! Free for all dining room with plenty of nooks to chill or perches for people watching! Good times!

Super fun place. Lots of food options. Not that expensive. Close to LCA and actually walking distance to Ford Field
