This was my first time at Motor City Java House. I had a strawberry and blueberry smoothie which was delicious. I will go back and try others. Thanks…. Even though, I was there for the Neighbor chat with James Tate. I atmosphere was fabulous.

After spending hours up the road at Beaumont, a fresh cup of coffee was in order. Wanted something different than SB or TH. Stopped in here, the name was interesting. Walked in to get the coffee, also bought a cheese Danish. Sat down and took in the beautiful art work. An older man teaching a younger lady guitar. A group of men talking around a table on a Saturday morning. A refreshing place where neighborhood connections seem to hold tight. And a good cup of coffee.

Love this gem. So much more than excellent coffee. It’s a movement. Restoring and investing in the neighborhood. Revitalizing Detroit. Supporting artists. Highly recommend and would return.
