The SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour continues with a stop at Roar Brewing, previously Nain Rouge.
Not the easiest place to find because it sits in the middle of the block and there is no sign near the street. (If you see Condado Tacos, park.)
After parking, walk in through the biggest Biergarten I've seen in a long time. Lots of cool benches to relax on, a good amount of shade, too.
The brewery has several garage doors to allow folks to wander through, let some music drift out, let the breeze flow. Assuming it's warm enough. 81° F on this very late September afternoon.
Beer and other libations are the reason for coming. 12 taps to choose from including two straight off the tank. Can't get fresher than that.
Celeste was a great bar tender and beer was great. Raspberry wheat was great!
Service and the raspberry wheat was good. Very nice atmosphere!
The beers were good. I'm pulling for this place. Stop in and say hello
Great spot! We had a birthday party there and the entire staff was super accommodating and friendly! Huge outdoor space with music and games! Reasonable prices, nice beer selection, food menu is limited but everything was really good! Everyone loved it thank you!!
Fantastic people and beer, great atmosphere. Go get you some!
The beer was great and the sports bar atmosphere was very inviting. A fun new place to check out in Midtown!

In town for Brewers-Tigers game and happy to have made the effort to find Nain Rouge. About $10 Uber from downtown Detroit. Great outdoor seating, friendly staff and customers. Confus session NEIPA was pretty tasty which can be hard to do for a sessionable beer. Will try to visit again when back in town for work.
Great little brewery. Great staff. Cool patio. Great beer selection
Great beer, great selection, great service, and you can get equally good food brought over from the restaurant across the way. The indoor seating is spartan but inviting and the outdoor area is quite pleasant. They could maybe use a little more shade.
Beer was ok…the seating is really uncomfortable inside. Would maybe come back in the summer and try the patio instead.
Fun atmosphere and great outdoor space.
