We went to have breakfast and had to wait in a long line before we even got to order, about 30 minutes. Once we ordered we found a seat and breakfast came in about 30 minutes. We had omelettes, and they were delicious! It was worth the wait. The wait staff was attentive and worked hard, I appreciated their effort. But, I will say, walking through the front door to a broken window in door and bad smell in the entry initially made me want to leave, I am glad we stayed.
This little gem is nestled in across the street from the "Historic" Hotel St. Regis. Let me tell you it is amazing! It is one of those little eateries, deli-style places where the cooks are pros at what do. They may not be chefs by any means but they know their craft and what they are doing. I ordered a schmorgashborg of food to take home for a piece-meal dinner and I was not disappointed; the steak, peppers, onion, mushroom, and swiss cheese sandwich was rich with flavor and juicy without making the bread soggy; the waffles were light and savory; the boneless chicken was a little drier than I'd prefer but was good; the steak fries were nicely seasoned and not salty. The staff were all very helpful and went out of their way to take care of my order.
