Honestly, best pancakes ever. And I’ve eaten my share. Found this after the Detroit marathon. Worth the 45 min drive.

Whatever you order you will be getting the best version of. I have never had a disappointment at Norm's. The menu may seem simple but the execution is phenomenal and extremely elevated. No misses 10/10

I’ve been wanting to visit Norm’s since they opened and was finally able to today and it did NOT disappoint… actually was blown out of the water. I love and appreciate the small menu, they’ve perfected what they offer. The serving size is generous and you can tell that everything is made fresh and to order. We started with the chips and dip (French onion dip) it was 10/10, unlike what I was used being smooth this was textured and had chopped onions. I got the ceaser salad and it was phenomenal, very good house made dressing. My significant other got the turkey club and he loved it (it was huge!). Aside from the food the staff was so kind and welcoming. I definitely would return again.

Absolutely delicious. Just a fried egg and a bowl of yogurt were the best I can remember ever having. Very nice servers. It only sucks that theres just one bathroom for a packed restsurant. But awesome in general.

The only diner that I have ever been to that I did not need to add salt and pepper to anything because they season their food as it's being cooked 😮. Also some of the best bacon I've had in years.

Norm’s has become our little weekend ritual, and honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. My boyfriend and I drive in from the suburbs just to come here, and every visit feels like comfort wrapped in a plate.

He’s faithful to the Two Eggs Breakfast and never stops raving about it. According to him, the bacon here is the best in the world (and trust me, he takes his bacon seriously). The eggs are always perfectly cooked, and the rye toast? I think we both agree—it’s the best either of us has ever had. I don’t eat meat, but seeing him so happy with that breakfast makes me just as obsessed.

I stick to the Veggie Breakfast Sandwich with potatoes or the Breakfast Salad (I always swap the meat for avocado or something veggie-friendly). Every bite is fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love. And yes—I always add a side of rye toast, because it’s just that good.

What makes Norm’s extra special is how it feels. The staff are the kindest people, and the place itself is cozy without trying too hard. We usually play tic-tac-toe on the kids’ menu while waiting for our food (best two out of three picks up the bill 😉). It’s silly, sweet, and somehow makes breakfast here feel like a date every single time.

And the best part? You never wait long. Even on busy weekends, you’re seated quickly, and the food comes out just right—hot, delicious, and worth the drive.

Norm’s isn’t just a diner, it’s a little piece of happiness for us. If you’re anywhere near Detroit, do yourself a favor and stop in. Who knows—you might just find your new favorite tradition here too

Fantastic, hip diner in West Village. The menu is simple yet lovely. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich or biscuits and gravy. They have good daily specials and coffee, too.

Food was fresh and moderately priced. Wait time for brunch was about 30 - 45 minutes which was expected. Definitely felt like a space where you eat quickly as the staff will deliver the bill after you are done eating and will hand you boxes shortly after. It felt like the staff was staring at customers to signal it's time for them to leave. But people were trying to take their time and eat with their prospective parties. This might be a good place to visit during non-peak hours if you are someone who likes to sit and enjoy their food.
