Honey butter biscuit fan for life
Chicken didn't have it's normal flavor and was over cooked. The honey butter biscuits are the only reason I gave it 2 stars. I won't be making a special trip downtown just to go there. It was for my son's Birthday dinner and he wasn't happy. Disappointed

Very poor service the light skin manager very rude to his employees and customers
Who opens at 4PM in a downtown setting? Do you guys not like to make money opening up only for 4 hours every day?
Definitely a place for fried chicken lovers! Pretty simple with some decent sides to go along with the Fried Chicken. I would 💯 eat there much better freshly made than takeout for some reason. As for the customer service side… I get it were from the D but if you’re visiting from somewhere else just remember your in the City🤷🏻♂️

Food was not too bad. Kinda over done it with the honey on the biscuits. We decided to dine in, in which the tables are next door at The Brakeman, I'm guessing is some kind of bar. We walked into this area to sit with some ice cream cones we purchased just before walking in. Some dude working at the bar in a very rude way tells us that no outside food is allowed. I asked him if Penny Reds is connected to the area, and he said yeah. My response was since I purchased food it shouldn't matter about my ice cream, which was almost gone. Nothing was posted stating this fact. Because of this unprofessional interaction, we will not be visiting again. Some folks need to get better with their skills when dealing with the public.

The Mac and cheese is a must try. The corn with their side mayo was also really good. The sliders were perfect to split with someone if you want to try other things.

I am once again begging to bring back the K-Town. It is the only thing I live for.
Minus one star for no K-Town.

First up, staff was nice and helpful having never been there before. No issues there.
I mean you go there for some tasty fried chicken...... And the chicken just isn't good. Meat seemed low quality with way less meat than expected. It wasn't even that hot when served. Breading was excessive and waxy as though it had sat under a heat lamp for a while. Mac and cheese was tiny for the price and that wasn't great either. The dunked honey butter biscuits were decent.
Wanted to love it, left knowing I won't be back.
