Just called to ask if they had opened yet because on Google it says they don't open until 4p. When I called the person answered and when I asked if they were open yet (as it was only 3p) the response was "I just answered the phone didn't I". I have enjoyed coming here several times but with this kind of rude and disrespectful service I don't think this is a place I will be visiting very often.

Nostalgia meets fun at this arcade bar! The retro games bring back fond memories, and the craft cocktails add a modern twist. It's a great spot to unleash your inner child and enjoy some friendly competition.

Checker bar and arcade is one of my personal favorite spots in all of Detroit. With so many different and delicious food options it's a great place to stop for dinner, drinks and fun upstairs in the arcade. The arcade has tons of different options of games. Parking lot was available next to the building. They were 21 and up on Saturday night. But didn't check id's at the door on other days I have been. Great spot to stop!!

Cool little bar. Limited menu. Food is good. Burgers are huge. Bartenders are very friendly and attentive.

Reviews? Never done one. Had to though. Their machines (5 of them) took our $$ and none worked. Come for the food and drinks, sure! Not for the games. Imagine OFF-WORLD messaging me to apologize?? I understand your message but WOW figure it out. Not

While there isn't a great variety of games, there are plenty to play with your friends. I love visiting when I come downtown.

Great little bar with a dozen vintage arcade and a dozen pin ball machines. Some took my quarters but it was a great place to visit outside my

I use to go to the Checker when I had a client across the street. That was several years ago.New owners with very few changes inside and that what makes the Checker cool.Today I thought I was lucky to find a parking space on the street right behind the Checker. The bak door is LOCKED so you have to walk around the block .. no big deal.My fiend ordered some type of a hot dog, didn't cost much, I ordered a "Skinny Jimmy". This is normally an average sandwich in Detroit but the Checker took this "Big Boy" standard to the level of a 7/11 quick stop nothing sandwich. The fry's saved the day but as far as food goes C-... Maybe the roaming booze wagons keep people coming back. I won't!

Got charged $20 for a Long Island and an Oberon- pretty sure bartender was pocketing a the difference. Music was way too loud and machines ate my quarters.
