Start to finish. From the hostess, to Brian. Who as a first time guest here, gave us the one of a kind showing of the building, the grill, the chefs, to the meat locker, the private business room and vip area. He was so comical, and theatrical. He made getting to know what they offer so enjoyable! Then our waitress and waiter (Stephanie and Nick) were so kind a personable! Very knowledgeable about the menu and also a huge plus they have NON alcoholic beverage options!!! Will be back.

I highly recommend if you want a great experience for a dinner! Also the walk to the bathrooms is beyond memorable! Thank you for such a wonderful place!

I ordered a dry-aged steak, and it was rich, tender, and cooked perfectly. The sides were also delicious, and the cocktails were well crafted. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, especially the beef, which is dry-aged in-house to develop deeper flavor.
The service was attentive and professional, which made the whole experience feel even more refined. Overall, Prime + Proper is a great choice if you’re looking for an upscale steakhouse experience in Detroit. Just be prepared—it’s definitely on the expensive side.

Patty and Ric made the night extremely memorable. They were warm, knowledgeable, and had the best recommendations on the menu. One of the highlights was the Smoky Sassy cocktail—perfectly crafted and full of flavor. Every suggestion they made exceeded our expectations, and they made sure all of our needs were met throughout the evening.
A special thank you to Max, the manager, whose attentiveness to detail and genuine Southern hospitality made the experience even more special. You can truly tell that guest experience is a priority here.
