We always get the fixed price menu. The special flavors and unique foods just keep coming. Tonight we had smoked salmon with a citrus foam and marinated fig, bison meatball, risotto with crawfish, etc, etc, etc. Great cocktails, great dessert, great service. Highly recommended.

Fun and trendy environment with tasty food and craft drinks. Everything was delicious but be sure to try the pork belly sliders!

Got there near six, it wasn't packed at all. The place has a cool atmosphere. Similar to a place in Denver I liked.

It's so tasty. I will be back with my relatives. Prices were average for the menu.

Came here on a Saturday. Service is typically great. This place has a great feel to it. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.

It was such a treat to get out, and social distancing was being enforced very well. Our server Olivia was super informative and fun. Cocktails were special and made us feel fancy. And of course, we loved the inventive and ever-changing locally-sourced menu. Thank you so much for having us!! :)

We live near Detroit and this place is our favorite restaurant in the city.

I think we sampled nearly everything on the menu. There were more highlights than I can relay. Just when I thought the plates would stop, two more entrees arrived. The only hiccup was dessert. The ginger pear berry bubbly while delicious was very difficult to share between 3 people.

Great service from Chris! Thankful for a space to get together and celebrate my friend's birthday. The food was good and priced for it's higher quality. I recommend everything. The chicken was partially raw. After showing it to the server he came back and offered a free dessert. This seemed inappropriate for raw chicken as it should immediately be refunded and then courtesy after that. My friend did feel sick afterwards as well. Otherwise a great experience. Draft beer wasn't available at the time either, which was a little sad.

Ambiance was very good, but the food was a little too bizarre for my liking.

Craft cocktails, intriguing food where the effort is on creating a fantastic dish, not on shipping an ingredient from hundreds of miles away. Always a great atmosphere in Detroit: Chic, but not posh - classy but not ritzy.

From the service to the drinks to the food, everything was perfect. We enjoy “experiences” when eating out and this was certainly one. Our server, Chris, was a JOY. He was wonderful and curated a perfect chef’s tasting menu for us after asking our preferences, etc. (after reading a few other reviews I was nervous about the service, but it was honestly the best part of the meal!). The food was incredible and creative, so were the drinks- I highly recommend the chef’s tasting but if you do only get one dish, make it the chicken - it was the best we have EVER had (I didn’t even know that was possible with chicken!).

We really enjoyed our visit to Republic. The building itself is a really neat old historic building that stands out. It is across the street from Beacon park, which is really neat as well. All the food we had was prepared nicely and tasted very good. In particular, the charcuterie board, roasted carrots, and the chestnut agnolotti were very good. Next time I want to try the wild boar! Our server Chris was attentive and had great recommendations. The flourless brownie dessert was quite tasty. I am looking forward to visiting again. Easy parking across the street in a well lit lot.
