My daughter and I went to this restaurant yesterday. The service was poor. The restaurant open after 12noon instead of at 12 noon. They didn’t have the dish that I wanted. I notice that the waitress was more friendly to there own culture. This is more of a local restaurant. I do not recommend this restaurant for people that do not live in the near by neighborhood. The pricing was high for the small portion for carry out. I only got one pork chop with a side of white rice and beans for $15.00. My first time going to this restaurant was much better than my second time coming to it. I will never go back to this restaurant in the future 😒

I wish I could give a lower rating than 1 ★ due to how sheisty this business is, and I will be filing a complaint with the BBB for scam operations.
We placed an online order for canoas that totalled over $50. A woman quickly called us to say that they didn't have them that day and asked if we'd like to cancel the entire order or proceed to just get the sides we had ordered with them. I confirmed to please cancel the whole order and she said she would refund my card.
Lo and behold -- the refund wasn't processed -- which led me to dispute the charge with my bank. The bank investigated and gave me the refund. THEN the restaraunt had the nerve to dispute the refund and managed to charge me over $50, again .
Don't get me wrong.. I love supporting independent businesses and was eagerly looking forward to finally trying the food here, but the greed and how brazenly they ripped us off for food and services never rendered left us absolutely disgusted; And that's sad, considering that they would have most likely secured many more loyal customers through my family and friends if they just fixed their supply issue and made good food.

I’m in love with this beautiful restaurant! Rincon Tropical: Home Away From Home! Fine Puerto Rican cuisine less than a couple miles away from where I live is amazing. I’m so happy I stopped by here today, This lovely little restaurant takes me to the Caribbean in mind, body, and spirit. The Butterfly Shrimp with Garlic Sauce was scrumptious, full of flavor, crunchy, and I can’t wait to try more delicacies whenever I come back.
