The food at River Bistro was excellent! Though I don't eat meat or many of the tings that were on the menu all I had to do is ask and the Chef was able to fix me a dosh that was as good as any vegan restaurant that I have been to. The food was fresh and well prepared, the service hreat and prices were competitive.

The j*** ribs were awesome! The potato's were good the Mac n cheese not to my liking. I give this place a decent review as it was my first time visiting. I'll be back for sure.

I love River Bistro and will always support local small businesses! I'll give you my negatives first. Front of the house is awful! For an establishment so small. It's really hard to watch the front or the house suffer so much as the front of the house is 50% of the business. How much interaction they have with the actual customer. I called ahead with my order, asked about the specials, Suggestions (since I already knew they offered), the menu etc. I was left with no suggestions and felt like I spoke to someone who didn't want to be there. Once I ordered I was told it was gonna be 20 minutes. I went to 4 stores before making it! I knew 20 minutes wasn't enough time for what I ordered but within 30 it should be done. I walked in and out was told the food will be ready in 5. I waited an additional 40 minutes only to have the person at the front desk give my food to another customer. Luckily she opened the food while in the restaurant or she would've had my food!!! Beside front of the house the food here is amazing! I deal with the front of the house because the food is so flavorful! Food = 5/5 Customer service 2/5

Food and service was great. Can't wait to go again. Took my 5 year old son. He loved the macaroni and cheese.

Since the owner himself isn't there much it seems as though things have been a little rough. I have tried to give it a chance numerous of times because of the convenience but my last visit my lettuce was wilted on my salad, my co worker had a salad as well but she wanted to add salmon which was a $6 up charge, damn near a $20 salad. We were never asked what type of dressing we wanted assuming that ranch goes on everything I guess, oh and we were offered a lemonade if we wanted to wait for tomatoes :(. This visit was the final straw, not to mention our other past experiences.

So my sister and I wanted some lunch on Saturday. Actually we wanted some ribs and some soulful Caribbean vibes. So we remembered our friend told us about River Bistro. I ordered the Mango J*** Ribs, macaroni and cheese, and fried brussel sprouts, and some unbelievably refreshing iced tea. The ribs weren't fatty, cooked to the bone, moist and flavorful. Clean bite, and satisfying. The macaroni and cheese was overflowing with cheese and extra creamy. The glaze on the sprouts fire. Chef Max is awesome. I highly recommend.

My mother really loves this place. $5 lunch specials. The are only a few things that I didn't like though. The bbq sauce they used for the chicken was too hot for me. And the area was so small that it got crowded pretty quickly. When you call for a order, sometimes no one picks up the phone, so you have to call them again until they pick up the phone.

Absolutely awesome dining experience. Food was excellent Beautiful Sister behind the counter was so cordial and familiar, felt like I was dealing with family. Love the menu, the play on words is very cool. Mango lemonade was everything.

Food is amazing, I had the shrimp curry they gave me a very generous amount of food well worth the money. Atmosphere very friendly and clean. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

The ribs were hot and sweet and delicious. Great presentation. And my two sides were superb. Candied sweet potatoes that tasted a fresh nutmeg. Roasted brussel sprouts and bacon that tasted like they were cooked with some molasses. One of my best meals ever

Overall, food tastes good. First time having dinner both entrees were cold. Sent back and ended up just boxing it to take home. Tried a second time for saturday brunch and the times on the door were incorrect. The website says 11a on Saturday's but they wouldn't open until 11:30a. The beverages listed on the wall and menu weren't available either. Best bet is order from home and carry out. Turkey chops are pretty good, Brussels sprouts have nice flavor just under cooked. Salmon is just ok, portion is skimpy. Catfish and grits would be fantastic with better tasting grits (bland). Banana nut waffle made well but didn't taste like banana at all. Service was on point.

This place is wonderful! Small spot that seats about 20 people but it's so bright and inviting. When we arrived they were only serving brunch (served until 4 on Sat/Sun). We had somewhat of a wait but it was worth it. The food was hot and fresh and delicious. I like my chicken cooked pretty well. The j*** wings were a little too soft for me BUT that sauce was sooo good. The shrimp and grits... that gravy! So flavorful. My daughter for the chicken and waffles. Her chicken was fried perfect. No complaints. I'm looking forward to going back after 4 to taste more of what's on the menu.
