I started going to Robs when I was about 19, 25 yrs ago. My ex and Rob grew up in the same neighborhood. I moved away and visited periodically over the years. The last two times, the service was awful. Today, I did not purchase. The man behind the counter seemed uninterested in any sort of customer service. He was slouched over taking orders, the young lady in front of me asked which cake tasted better, he mumbled something. I left because they do not take electric payments, I did not return with cash because of his attitude. It saddens me that horrible customer service is parallel to black people serving black people. If he was having a bad day, I get it, but based on feed back from my daughter and her family, rude customer service has become the norm. Not sure if the deli was sold to someone else but customer service should be a given… it is my hope that the same energy I remember years ago returns. Laughter was served with a DOPE corn beef.

I went in there on Saturday June 7 th 2025 i’m guessing that was his son and near his son had a horrible attitude. I waited for a minute outside because the sun saw me walking in, but he proceeded to leave out and walk to the gas station so so I still waited till he came back to make the food once he came back in he went to the back and I guess he was back there doing something, but once he came to the front I order it ,, I ordered the special on rye bread with Swiss mustard and mayo and the girl repeatedly told him over five times make sure you put mayo on it because I explained to her that the last time he did not put mayo on my sandwiches I ordered four sandwiches before and he had them full of mustard before so she repeatedly told him that it needed mayo on there so I get to the car and my sandwich’s was full of mustard again with no mayo so I went back in. They tried to give me mayo packets, but I told her that I wanted my sandwiches made over the son was sitting there on A crate eating some cereal out of a Cake tray and when you explained to him what he did wrong he told her to sit that mess up there. I’ll fix the sandwiches over when I get done eating my cereal, horrible customer service nasty attitude,, been there before his dad is very respectful and the other guy also but the son always have a nasty attitude n horrible customer service I got my money back and left because he thought I was go wait until he got done eating cereal to get my order properly made over

I was raised on cadieux so I remembered when rob FIRST opened and even when he partnered and opened a second location for all of a few months lol
Any how I must say I absolutely love this place. Now I home after 13 years in Vegas and the new guy idk family or not Does NOT DO IT LIKE ROB. My 20 ex large dinty Moore was definitely not an extra large
Even the specials are smaller portions when he does them smh
But still all in all the food is good and I do return at least once a week

Top Corned Beef sandwiches in the city of Detroit!! Hands down. Consistent hours, great staff, and the sandwiches hit different! The Mr Treat is my favorite. It is cash only heads up.

My first time there I purchased an XL corned beef with onion roll, Swiss, coleslaw and extra thousand island dressing (which they forgot) it was ok meat was minced and the bread seemed very thin...coulda sworn I ordered an XL turkey as well but it was much smaller than the other sandwich also 2 orders of onion rings total was $56?

The young man that works in this Deli has a very nasty attitude. I have tried on several occasions to approach him in a nice way. But nothing works. He is too rude. Not to mention they don't answer their phone or accept debit cards.
