Down the alley! A beautiful addition to downtown Detroit. Service, the small bites, and the drinks. Reservations are well needed. This place is gonna be booming in the summer. Also, if you get Jenny as your server, she goes above and beyond.!! 🔥

The ambience was really nice and the atmosphere was inviting and had a great vibe for a night out.
However, it was extremely chilly inside. The direct air blowing on our table made it uncomfortable to fully relax and enjoy the meal. Adjusting the airflow would definitely improve the dining experience.
Now, the food, the burger and fries are absolutely to die for! Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and worth coming back for. Unfortunately, I did have to send my drink back because it just wasn’t pleasing, but the staff handled it professionally.
One thing to keep in mind: since it’s located downtown, parking is limited and expensive, so plan accordingly.
Overall, I’d return for the food especially that burger and fries but hope for a warmer, more comfortable seating experience next time.

Had an absolutely incredible time! The attention to detail and ambiance blew my girlfriends and I away. Service was outstanding, the small bites and drinks were wonderful. The bartender created a surprise drink for me based on flavors I like and it was so good. Can’t wait to come back!

This is a very cool place to get a unique and excellent craft cocktail. You feel very taken care of here.
You will enter from the alley and through the gold door - a host will check you in and send you downstairs. They will take and hang your coats for you free of charge (a lovely touch in Michigan) and bring you to your seat. Thee are velvety curtains and it is decorated like a very cool basement in the best way. Soft seating, cozy lighting, comfy vibes.
Each cocktail is truly unique, and the server took his time explaining things to us as we asked. We ordered wallbangers and the dill martini - top notch cocktails. That martini is really something special. Dangerously easy to drink, especially with an order of the martini snacks. The olives are excellent on that plate. We also had the fries (get those!) that come with ketchup and this delicious malt vinegar mayo. They were super hot, crispy on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside - wedge style. These give Second Best a run for their money. And that malt vinegar mayo is something I'm going to try and duplicate at home it's so good. The pretzel bites were also decent, and the cheese fondue served with them is very yummy - dipping fries or the potato chips in that wasn't terrible either. I want to come back and try their lobster roll and burger, and they have caviar on the menu.
This is an excellent addition to downtown; people staying at the hotels nearby have another great option. I feel like it's particularly perfect in the colder months, which we have many of here in Detroit! It would be a great place to hang out with friends, though several drinks will get spendy.
Great spot, lovely service, can't wait to return.

My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves at this Speak easy, such a vibe! The only ding I will give them is they're comms from the door man to the hostess could be better. Beautiful location, love the ambiance! Our waitress was super nice and helpful she made some amazing recommendations. The food looked, smelt and tasted phenomenal! The drinks were creative and poured to perfection while also being very visual appealing. Had an amazing experience here and would recommend to anyone in the Detroit area!

Reservation necessary. The atmosphere earns five stars, but the drinks were disappointing. We tried several and each was overly strong and unbalanced. I know some classic cocktails are meant to be strong, these felt more like expensive shots than something to slowly enjoy at an $18-$25 price point. Other places in the city offer far better balanced cocktails at this price. The lobster rolls were very dry and the burger was soggy and falling apart. We did appreciate the attention to detail, including the matches with the receipt, the viewfinder with old photos, and the decor.

The tables and seating are too small and close together, the food is mid, my cocktail tasted like a straight shot of liquor, and the hostess needs to do better with the reservations/ seating.

This place is a hidden gem! A fun spot to go for a cocktail.
I had the pleasure of checking out Saksey’s this weekend. Jennifer was our server and was phenomenal. My friend and I loved our cocktails. Especially the mini martini’s. I can’t wait to come back for dinner to try their food menu!

Great vibes with a vintage feel. Drinks were fun but not ~as~ good as I was expecting. Still very enjoyable. Food was spectacular, with the lobster bun exceeding my expectations. My partner said the burger was about as good as grey ghost’s (iykyk). Chicken bites were also very yummy. The solid Alaska was a fun ending of the night. Price range was reasonable too! We had 4 drinks total with 3 things to eat and it came to $99 before tip. Overall excited to come back!
