Staff was great very helpful polite we really enjoyed the dinner Do you ever do a multi course family style dinner with or without wine paring

Scallops were presented nicely, sauce was warm and cooked as you would expect. The branzino was also nicely presented but could have been warmer. Drinks took longer than expected to arrive. Our server slow and had zero personality; real downer. When you pay a premium you expect cheerfulness and a smile. It must have been an off night.

1st time visiting and celebrating my birthday. Presley, our server, was very knowledgeable about both the wine and food menu and was great overall. I especially enjoyed the burratta starter and my scallop entree was on point. The ambiance did not disappoint. 10/10 experience.

If you want a normal breakfast this isnt the place to go, if you want a normal breakfast that try’s wayyy to hard to be fancy this is the place to go, I feel like people eat there just to say they did, the food was was not for us. Great service

Second time here, first time for breakfast. Let's just say that breakfast isn't their strong suit. Eggs ere runny. Bacon was chewy and fatty (despite being ordered “extra crisp”), and arrive was friendly but slow. Quite slow. We were staying at the hotel and it was convenient, but there's far better options for breakfast in the area.

This review is for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was good but unfortunately the courses were unacceptably delayed. Our server was great but the restaurant did not plan appropriately. We waited 10-15 min for drinks and 25 min between courses. We had the sense that the restaurant overbooked itself. It was not worth the price of the meal. The portions were small and we were still hungry after.

I ate here for breakfast, while staying at the Shinola Hotel. I enjoyed a good breakfast that is different than the ordinary fare. While Thomas Keller’s Cafe Bouchon is my all-state favorite, San Morello is in that league. If you like a high-end breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere, this is your place. Another gem in Detroit’s burgeoning restaurant scene!

Great food, great service and beautiful atmosphere. I expected high class from Shinola's Hotel and I got it. Would heavily recommend their pasta and desserts.

Great Service. jacob was top notch!! Very attentive and the food was amazing. The branzino was off the charts and I'm still thinking about the banana biscoff gelato. So delicious. Definitely telling all my friends and customers to check it out.

We had a really great time from start to finish. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the staff were all very attentive and knowledgeable. Gisela set up our reservation and gave us excellent suggestions. Wine pairing recommendations and wine service were both top notch.

We started with the marinated olives, housemade rosemary focaccia and burrata crostini which did not disappoint. Every bite of the crostini was like a little charcuterie taster with the fig, burrata and hazelnuts. My boyfriend tried the fusilli gigante and I had the agnolotti di zucca. Both dishes were prepared beautifully and the flavours and serving sizes were perfect.

For dessert, we shared the dark chocolate budino. Very rich and flavourful with a creamy espresso ice cream on top.

We’ll definitely be back to try more options! This is a great spot for a ladies’ night!
