When we got there the door was locked and the restaurant was closed. We did not get any notification that the restaurant was closed. We were going to the Fisher and we were now jammed up on trying to find a place to eat.

Went for our 5 pm reservation and the restaurant was closed. Phone number disconnected. Open Door sent verification that we had a reservation at a restaurant that is not in business

This is your place for a GREAT dinner! Wonderful food, great service and cool atmosphere---inside or out. There is free parking across the street (a real rarity in Detroit)! The staff goes out of their way to make sure everything is wonderful.Fine food and the pricing accurately reflects that...it should be $$$ or $$$$ though, not two. Drinks are expensive, but delicious and special.A REAL TREAT....DON'T MISS IT!!Thank you for making our evening wonderful! Savant is truly a gem and we don't want it to be a "hidden gem"! We are spreading the word among family, friends, etc.Our server, Dominique, was the best! She was considerate, helpful, attentive and FUN! The bartender was also great. We loved everything about Savant and the free parking right across the street was a real bonus! We'll be back!

Cute neighborhood bistro. Most of the food was good. The pomme frites, however, was just cheap American frozen fries. Staff are wonderful people- really great service and lovely atmosphere. I enjoyed the French taco.

The food was OKAY. Ambiance was also OKAY. Server seemed new. The bartender was fantastic. Made great recommendations and great drinks.

I really wanted to love this place. It's super exciting to have more interesting options in Midtown. The food and service were fine, not great but not terrible. However, at this price point you need to have excellent service and food. It is overpriced for what it is. Our waitress promptly told us they were out of multiple menu items on arrival. The menu prices were higher than advertised on the website, including $42 for 3 scallops. Would not return.

We LOVED Savant! The food, service and atmosphere are ALL wonderful! In addition, there is free parking across the street--a rarity in Detroit. Take advantage of all that Savant has to offer. It is truly a gem. Don't make it a "hidden gem" and keep them going strong!

A dear friend and I were looking to connect and decided to meet here as we'd both heard good things and wanted to go. The ambiance is very intimate. The lighting is dim. We had a reservation so we were able to be checked in and seated immediately. We were provided menus by our server and given a moment to review them to decide on what we'd like to order. I'd come in initially planning to order steak & frites. I opted for Steak Oscar instead. I added the Simple Green Salad to accompany it. My friend had the Confit Chicken Wings and Pomme Frites. While we waited, we ordered cocktails. I had the Love This For Me. My friend ordered the Blue Dream. The cocktail name indeed described my thoughts of the experience had there. The food arrived and was delicious and satisfying. I opted to order Creme Brulee for dessert. We decided to stay a bit to catch up and enjoy the atmosphere. We ordered another cocktail called Louboutin. It was the perfect ending to the night.

Came here last Saturday for my birthday and was absolutely disappointed with the food. The breading for the champagne chicken was rancid and made the entire dish entirely unedible. Our $80 steak didn't come with the Au Poivre sauce as described on the menu. When asked for a sauce, we were offered A1 sauce (on filet mignon) by one of their managers who also refused to apologize or offer a refund. Absolutely terrible service and food.

I’ve been to Savant in the past and it was decent. After visiting there today, I will not be going back. Please, save your money and your time. They’re out of 90% of their menu, the service sucks, the drinks are no longer presented in a fun way that makes them worth the higher price tag, they no longer have caviar bumps, and the owner/manager is completely disrespectful and ruined my special day. I ordered a steak medium, as did other people at my table, but mine came well done. The color difference was extremely different than the other medium they brought - no pink at all. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she told me “the temperature was checked, so it’s not.” I proceeded to show her the steak and she agreed that is wasn’t pink. She left to talk to the manager but never came back. My party finished their meals without me while I was still waiting on a new steak. It was my celebration, so this was extremely disappointing. Eventually, I walked over to see what was going on. She was just sitting there even though we were the only customers in the place (should have been our warning sign). When I asked her what was going on, she got up to go to the back (as if she never even attempted to correct the issue). She came back and offered a 10% discount on my steak that I never got to eat. She said they couldn’t remake my steak because the kitchen was closing….this was only about 7:45……I’ve never been so insulted in my life. I demanded the steak be taken off the bill (as I never even go to eat my food) and that was a battle with the owner. I asked for him to come talk to me but he refused. Apparently, according to Yelp, he pulls this a lot. Eventually, he requested my uneaten steak to be sent back so he could review it (I guess skipping your whole celebration dinner must mean you’re lying).

Loved it. We shared 4 small plates between the 2 of us. All the food was delicious. The staff was very knowledgeable about the food. The place was well appointed down to hooks to hang out bags on. Will definitely go back.

The Savant Midtown is at the top of my list for culinary experiences in the city. While dining here, you choose several small plates and each one takes you on a different journey. Their wine list is exceptionally chosen and their desserts are incredible! Kudos!!

The service, food and atmosphere were all fantastic! Great selection of draft, import and domestic beers and some wine and cocktail options as well. All in all definitely worth your time!!

I like the restaurant, but there were so many little oddities. The restaurant was out of ingredients and had to keep explaining. The water pitcher could not be found to fill our glasses. The steak cuts were a bit disappointing. The scallops and risotto was great as was the charcuterie board. Cocktails were excellent also. Overall, just ok.
