Great bar! The food is unreal and the staff are all amazing. During Lions games they had Honey BBQ wings, instead of the regular jerk wings. The Honey BBQ wings are THE BEST wings I have ever had. The meat falls right off the bone when you pick them up. I wish the Honey BBQ was always available. Please!

Kazo was the best bartender! We stumbled upon this place and so happy we did! The whole staff was super friendly! Kazo helped me pick out a drink for my sensitive stomach, all while making sure my husband got his strong bday drinks! Higlhy recommend this place! This is one of the best kept secrets in Detroit! Second Best is a small laid-back cocktail bar, with a relaxed and quaint atmosphere. It also can be lively during a sport game or downtown event, but my favorite is on nights like my recent visit when there isn’t much of a rush because the bartenders are so personable to chat with. They offer a great selection of local beers and ciders, and unique cocktails made with their house-made syrups. Their food menu sounds delicious and I would love to try their chicken sandwich next time. We actually stopped in before our reservation at Grey Ghost and found out that they are actually affiliated. (Fun fact, if you’re a fan of the Grey Ghost burger they said that theirs is basically the same here!) If you are looking for an off – the – grid casual spot with top-notch service, this is the place to be!

The bartender with the dog tags entertained all of my questions with a smile and I learned the names of his 5 dogs and he makes a delicious Santa's visit cocktail from their seasonal menu. We also ordered the Zima and the jolly rancher was a creative, fun garnish.
If you like absolutely decadent messy food and solid Christmas decorations for the season, this is the place.
Service set a perfect mood to fit the crowd for this place. Wasn't terribly busy on a Thursday night which made it easy to have a conversation at the table.
We happen to be there when there was a super hot Santa wandering around, which was probably the only thing distracting me from the Italian beef tacos.
