Shield's Restaurant Bar Pizzeria

We had a rehearsal dinner for 40 people at Sheilds in Detroit and it was the best experience ever! The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was great and the staff were so awesome!!! When we got there everything was set up for us and they were very welcoming. The manager Jason was great, and had everything running smoothly. The wait staff…shout out to L & D we’re phenomenal! They were right there with refills, smiles, jokes and anything you needed. They made the experience so wonderful!!! I would recommend to anyone looking for a party venue, or just a dinner out to come eat here!! 5 stars!!!!!!

Great atmosphere! Karaoke was an amazing edition. Really liven up the place. The food wasn’t bad either. The pizza was some of the best I’ve ever had. 5 stars definitely deserved :)

This is the best deep dish Detroit-style za I've had, ever AND! it's gluten-free! My gosh win-win cannot be overstated.

That said, the place lacks acoustic dampening and it can be highly distracting to focus on a table conversation. Perhaps that's the intent? Come in, get great pizza and go elsewhere to enjoy conversation.

Either way, I regularly drive 30mins for this amazing pie.

Pizza was absolutely delicious. The ambience is amazing. I went on jazz night so the music was phenomenal. It was my first time in Detroit. The portion was large. I only ordered four pieces of pizza and I only ate two of the pieces of pizza. I had a delicious glass of wine, Prosecco to be exact. They had a nice bar. The service was wonderful. The guy that waited on me. I don’t remember his name, but he was an amazing Black gentleman.

We held our team outing at Shields and had an absolutely amazing experience! The staff was incredibly accommodating with our large group, the tables were set up in advance, and our food was ready right on time. Everything was seamless and well-organized. We also got to enjoy karaoke, which made the night even more memorable! Great service, fun atmosphere, we’ll definitely be back!
