First time visiting this location was after a football game and on a Sunday. The food was delicious, generous portions, served hot and not too long of a wait considering they were very busy. We had leftovers- LOL. Our server was friendly, attentive and quick to bring us whatever we asked for at the time. The BBQ sauce on the ribs was flavorful and tasty. The Loaded nachos (pictured) were well worth the price and will fill you up. I ordered the ribs, and this order did not...
The food at Shield’s was amazing! I tried the iconic Gold Medal pizza, and it definitely lives up to its reputation. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you’re visiting Detroit and want authentic Detroit-style pizza, this place is a must-visit. Just be prepared for a 20% gratuity charge.
The food is definitely more pricey for what you get, but tasted good. However, the reason I'm leaving my first ever review is our server, Lemond. He was excellent and was attentive to each table he had. Genuinely think he did a fantastic job.
