This review is for the Vigilante Restaurant8 13 23.Flatbread appetizer - toppings were good, but the bread was too crispy.Crab appetizer - topping was good the chip was not...It was a half an hour before we were served, then another half hour passed and a staff member came and said we could not have our entree because they sold it to someone else...was told to return latter in the week.We ordered an hour before she came to the table - no compensation/consideration was offered. 70.00 worth of appetizers?

The atmosphere was nice and the waitstaff was friendly and that's where the good ends because the food was not great I ordered the wagyu chili dog and fondue fries........the hot dog chili was not great and the fondue fries were the appetizer and they came last, the cheese for the fries was bland soup.....so I probably won't come back

A great midtown location convenient to downtown venues as well as Fisher Theatre, etc...Started with the seasonal mule, cucumber. A crisp open with floral finish makes this an excellent summer choice. Next, a Mozz Pizza. Thin crust artesian style, think Neopolitanish. Then the Pulled Beef sandwich with fries. Preparation was traditional with just the right amount of pickles, but could have used a bit more bbq sauce. The sandwich paired well with the Bees Knees draft. A slightly hoppy open with a hint of berry sweetness. A Bell's Oberon feel with berry in place of citrus. Finally, Chris was an attentive server that was kind and courteous. A recommended spot with a great ambiance and adequate menu.

I had the Fried Chicken Bowl and it was tremendous. The Fried Chicken held its own but the sides (the Mashed Potatoes and Collard Greens) were what stood out. Both were incredible. The staff was courteous and helpful as well. I’ll be back!!

Had their burger and fries while enjoying a few beers at Nain Rouge Brewery and the chicken sandwich roulette previously and both were solid. This place gets a 5 star rating alone on the laugh I got watching my friend eat the slider that had the ghost pepper.

Great spot for beer and bar snacks, but our sit down dinner did not live up to expectations. Good atmosphere but it was a long wait for ordinary food and inattentive service.

Perfect. It does have a smaller menu but we ordered an app and two entrees and. The food was amazing. We’ll definitely go again.

This restaurant really checked all the boxes. From the minute we walked in the door and we’re greeted till the minute we left nothing but a good experience. Good atmosphere, Good service great food really a pleasant surprise. One of the things that makes a good restaurant is the staff staff here was engaging and on top of everything. The food was surprising and good.

The menu and presentation have been consistently excellent everytime I come here. Coffee, drinks, appetizers, pizza, burgers, entrees...each delivered with attention to flavor and detail. The server was very friendly and I wanted to rate them higher but the bill was pretty messed up and never got corrected (we split a salad between two people as a course between appetizers and main course and it was charged to us as two salads.)

Smith and Company is a fantastic gem of a restaurant in the Midtown area. We accidentally stumbled upon it for drinks one evening and I have been back a couple of times since then for a meal. The service is always excellent, the drinks are unique and well-presented. Even though the menu is rather limited, everything on it is excellent. You can’t go wrong. In the summertime you can sit outside. It is such a cool old building that used to be for industry. It is really a sight for the eyes and a feast for the stomach! Don’t forget to try the bread pudding. You might think it is common, but it is anything, but! Heavenly! There is also free parking in the lot across the street, so it’s not difficult to find a place to park.

Finally made it to Smith & Co. in Cass Corridor. Food was ok. My friend enjoyed their Brussels Sprout salad. The cauliflower dish I had was ok. The Smash Burger I had was disappointing. Service was slow. A couple at a table next to us got up and left after waiting 15 minutes + to be greeted by their server. Not sure if I will be back.

Sat at the bar to get drinks before our table was ready and for some reason the bar tender took forever to ask us for the drink order. Then when we finally got a table we got the menu and realized absolutely nothing sounded good. It was the strangest assortment of foods. And very over priced. Decided to just finish our drinks and leave. Service could definitely be better.

We stopped in for a bite after a show and we loved it here. Our waitress was fantastic. We had the brussel sprout salad and pizza. We all loved it. I had an interesting drink with beet juice. It was great. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other great offerings.

I don’t know if I came on a bad day but it was just not a great experience. My partner came in like 2 Sundays ago and we loved the interior of the place when we walked in. But we were also worried a little cause the place was mostly empty. There were like 4 tables with guest but that was it. But we still wanted to give the place a chance cause I had been asking can we go for months. When we sat down our server took a min to come to the table. He never brought water to the table until I asked. He brought me a very cloudy wine glass. (( I polished it with my own personal polishing rag I keep on my person)). The food was very bland and sports bar like. I honestly believe this place has potential but as of right now they need a major turn around. My partner got the Korean fried chicken and I got the fried chicken dinner. They were the same. I just think at 7pm a prime time on a Sunday. The whole staff was acting like it was pass closing hours.
