The service is great. I didn't expect much from sushi in the Detroit airport, but this was by far the worst sushi I've had in my life.

I will not return after my last visit. Over the years I typically have enjoyed getting the chance to stop at this restaurant for sushi while traveling. I went tonight and ordered salmon sashimi and an Alaskan roll. The salmon did not look very good and I immediately noticed a fishy smell from it. Salmon does not normally have a fishy smell unless it is spoiling. I could not eat my meal and while I was there I saw them leave unprepared fish sitting out for atleast 20 minutes, I left before seeing how much longer it sat out. I would guess there is a long list of health code violations happening here. For your own health steer clear!!

Potentially the worst Katsu Don I’ve had. Soggy, chewy pork and wet rice for airport premium $. Dining at an airport is rarely a great experience, but this is far below the already low standard.

I ate here on a layover on Sept. 16th and ordered the shrimp tempura udon. It was the food was terrible, my partner couldn’t eat more than a few bites and my meal was almost inedible. I only ate the shrimp and I got the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had exactly 24 hours after eating it. Tempura was soggy and dunked in broth - we got the hint EVERYTHING is prepped early and nothing made fresh. Be careful eating here

this review is solely based on service. the worst customer service. didn't even bother to sit me down, hand me water glass before asking what i wanted. its not like i visited at closing time. it says that they close at 10 and i went in at 9. there was a lady who was cleaning bar and she was rude and a guy came up. again rude. and then server. also rude. good thing they are all consistent. i didnt dine-in ultimately cause they had very limited options left and also the vibes were not good. even if i sat down, i'm pretty sure i would've been disappointed with the service.

The worst customer service I have had anywhere including the airports. After I ordered two drinks, only one came, the waiter went to the back and started eating. He was in sight and saw me. I was ready to order and needed the other drink. I flagged down a female waitress and she said I had to wait for him. He finally told her to take my order. I ordered two simple sushi. She didn’t even take it to the kitchen or to the chief at the counter. She started talking with another staff member. At that point we heard our names on the speaker and had to run. My husband paid for the drinks but they charged him for the food too. It was orders but never placed.
I have never seen staff work like that. It was terrible and we basically donated $50 to the restaurant.

I had the Alaskan roll with salmon, avocado and cucumber. The cucumber had the peel left on it that was tough and actually there was more peel than cuke, the salmon was NOT fresh and the avocado was very sparse. Not flavorful or fresh as sushi rolls should be. All is overpriced too. I know its the airport but gouging with the prices AND poor quality!!

The food looks like it should taste good, but it doesn't. It has no flavor. They've somehow removed taste from food. Would strongly discourage you from eating here. It's also a lot of money for tasteless food.

Eat here if you want to get sick. Not sure where staff was washing their hands and no refrigeration in site. Sushi “chef”s have clearly never been trained on food safety. I already knew I wouldn’t want sushi from an airport so I had only ordered a beer, after seeing how the food was being prepared in sight of the customers I can only imagine the hygiene horrors behind kitchen.

Restaurantji Recommends
Ordered the charsiu ramen.
Broth was decent, charsiu was bland.
I had to wait 40 min for my food, and place wasn't even that busy. I ordered chicken katsu, and they brought me a sickly sweet dish. It felt like they just put rice, fried dry chicken in egg, and added sugar with no other spices. The soy sause also tasted like it was expired. Do not recommend.

Very bad food quality and taste. Servers need to be trained on customer service 1:1.

Sora was one of my favorite places to grab Sushi at the airport, unfortunately the ownership has changed and the quality of food is no longer at the same level. I’ve had better grocery store sushi. If you want sushi I would not recommend Sora.

Terrible! The food takes forever to come out. Even you are the only one customer, still have to wait about 40 minutes for a simple bowl of ramen. The ramen is extremely salty and the minced meat is still icy cold! Another 25 minutes waiting for Microwave ! They don't even provide a receipt for cash payments! Not recommended, not recommended!👎👎👎
