One should know better to order sushi at an airport. Man, this place was absolutely disgusting. The raw sushi was not fresh, and worst of all, the rice wasn’t even fully cooked. Should have known to get up and walk out after seeing other patrons leaving with nearly full plates of sushi on their tables. Went into PF changs for a drink right after and some folks from out of town overheard us talking about our experience. They said “everyone knows that place is disgusting”. Really embarrassed that my company has to pay for that expense. Yuck.

Waited for several minutes to be seated, staff ignored us but eventually spoke to us. We were given a choice of one table along the side squashed in between other people even though all of the centre tables were free. Staff said this was the only table we could sit at so we left and spent our money at Leo’s Coney Island where the staff was amazing!

Food is way overpriced for being so mediocre. Payed extra for the spicy shrimp tempura roll and it wasnt even spicy in the slightest

This used to be our go/to restaurant at DYW. While the ambience and service are still great, their teriyaki udon is now flavorless, and they no longer offer buckwheat noodles—so gluten sensitives, take note.

Nice restaurant and friendly/ attentive staff. Sushi isn't worth the $ and took quite a while to make.

Awful taste in the udon. The broth was bland, like brown-colored water with just a hint of salt. The server also tossed the bowl onto the table, even though there were only a few customers to serve. This experience reminded me why I hadn’t been back to this restaurant in 10 years.

Even with modest expectations for airport food, the ramen was worse than the dry $2 packs from the grocery store. No flavor to the “beef broth” way overdone egg and pork, and nothing fresh in the bowl. Save your $19 and your time. (Server was kind and offered to swap so she gets four stars.)

After ordering we waited 40 minutes to get our food and they gave us the wrong order. We got the poke bowl and the rainbow roll. They got the poke right but no the rainbow they gave us and avocado roll. We ate it because we were so hungry and didn’t want to wait another 40 minutes. Staff was no around to refill water or anything. Terrible service. Do not recommend. Food was low quality and not good tasting. Total cost 47 dollars.

Food was just not good at all. We have eaten Japanese cuisine a lot of places this has to be the worst Japanese restaurant. The Spicy Udon was extremely bland and was the first time the noodles finished before the broth.

chashu ramen is not japanese style--pork is dry and egg is hard boiled. Noodles were too soft.

Not only did I see how the employees were discussing around time shifts but I was also told ignored for good 2 minutes and then when I finally wanted to order something it was already too late for me as getting some Philadelphia rolls would take 25 minutes…

The food took too long to come out, and it came barely warm. The entree (teriyaki) and appetizers (gyoza) were microwaved but not made to order. The woman at the table across from me sent her order back. If I had enough time, I would have too.
Bill was over $40.
The waitstaff are neither pleasant nor unpleasant, but they were not attentive. No one checked on me until I waved for the bill, and even then she just dropped the credit card reader at my table and walked away. I’d say it was because they were busy, but I’ve been there before when it wasn’t busy and it was the same staff, same story.
Not going back.

Without being mean, the only thing I can truly recommend having is a beer. The service is just okay aside from one woman with short silver hair - she's incredibly nice. The food, at best, is edible. My ramen bowl was overcooked, bland and had better through packages that I made at home. The gyoza was okay and the shrimp tempura had no taste. I sent the bowl back, paid my bill, tipped my server and went to Plum Market, which was better than what I ordered. I sincerely hope that they improve. It was a cute spot.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I had a long flight ahead of me, so I figured I'd try something I know would be easy on my stomach. The miso soup tasted very good, but the chicken teriyaki was quite bland, bordering on tasteless.
The two vegetables that came with it, broccoli and carrots, were like warm at best, and the rice was dry. Perhaps not the greatest first impression.
Staff were okay, not really friendly, yet not rude. The best description for them might be not very engaged.
The place is a mixed bag. I might try a sushi roll next time and see if that fares any better.
