I brought my mom for dinner and we had an amazing time. Our server Shy was very sweet and recommended the miso butter gnocchi, it was like the grown up version of buttered noodles, which we loved. Our cocktails were very delicious, mom had the el chamuco. It was mule-ish, but waaaaay better. I had the non alcoholic snake cocktail. It was a snowy night, but still a cute vibe in there. Def going back!
Really adorable restaurant but SMALL. Definitely recommend reservations with the inside being so small. The ambiance is what I loved the most. My husband and I were hopping around eating at multiple restaurants so we split a burger and it was DAMN tasty. We will definitely return to Standby!
An absolute gem in Detroit! Drinks were superb. Service was at its peak. Loved sitting at the bar watching drinks be made and the interactions between the staff. It gives a fine dining kitchen counter experience without the price and with personable personalities and full flavor delicious food. Without a doubt will recommend and be back.
