Management and Staff are uneducated on what the laws are for video taping from a public sidewalk. And that you shouldn't be allowed to walk out and assault a citizen on the public sidewalk. The videotape is on YouTube and we'll live forever of her actions but I guess Starbucks will approve of it.

This Starbucks is in the ground floor of the Westin Book Cadillac but is operated separately. This was my first stop today for coffee before heading out to explore Detroit.
The store is tidy with some seating and all the usual accoutrements of the Green Siren people. I had a single espresso for my first boost of coffee today and it was just fine. No complaints.
There is rarely a queue here - they seem to have it all under control.

The downtown Detroit Starbucks coffee is one of the best in the city. The workers are very helpful nice genuine and they fix your coffee and your food exactly the way you want it. Their morning smiles was worth the wait of the Uber. It's nothing like a fresh cup of coffee in a fresh smile early morning the desserts were delicious the pastries are delicious and the morning breakfast sandwiches are delicious too. I would like to suggest that anybody in the area to stop by and have them the Starbucks cooked coffee I had the latte chai latte and it was delicious.

Terribly slow service. Almost 20 minutes to get food when we were in a hurry. They crank drinks out very quickly though. Despite the ease of making drinks over food, I don't think that people who ordered drinks after other customers who ordered food should get their order first. Orders should come out in the order they are received. Food orders don't seem like a priority here. Also, seating is sparse compared to the amount of people waiting.

Horrible service. I placed an order in the mobile app for a drink, a sandwich, and a fruit box. The drink and sandwich were ready when I got there, I asked 2 different employees about my fruit box and they just looked at me, after 10 minutes, I asked again and an employee rudely told me I had to go get that myself from the counter but they didn't have it in stock. They refused to give me a refund telling me that I needed to contact corporate as they are a franchise and have nothing to do with the mobile orders and very rudely, she told me to do what I needed to do.

Woman with nose rings and red hair stood and stared at me at the cash register... wasn't busy. Nobody in line. Never said good morning or acknowledged me at all other than asking for my name with no expression... over filled coffee to point of not being able to add any creamer or 1 pack of Splenda. Not a good experience. I could have made coffee in my hotel room and had a better time.
I watched the young woman making my latte pull a spoon from the sink. Rinse it off with water and commence to scooping foam out of my latte. I can’t be sure what the story is there, but it looked gross and when I brought it up, the barista got defensive. I’m drinking it out of sheer desperation. I haven’t left any reviews in the past, but this place is also incredibly slow to make online orders. I usually order 10-15 minutes in advance and still end up waiting. Like today. When no other customers are waiting.

I don’t know what it is this week. But they’re not making sandwiches correctly this is the second one they got wrong this week. Make sure to check your order before you leave. I ordered a turkey back egg white and cheddar sandwich only got the egg white. Kind of annoying when I tip every order too.
