Need better service u wait forever on your on takeout UPDATE lately food haven't been right i just stop going to this location . Now whoever yall cook is needs to be looking for a new job I'm really done with yall. Like there the bacon?

I gathered with my family at Starters, excited to enjoy a lively evening filled with great food and the anticipation of a boxing match. As we settled around the table, the atmosphere buzzed with energy. We eagerly placed our drink orders, but to our dismay, our server kept coming back to us, asking the same question about our drinks no fewer than four times over the course of about 15 minutes. It felt a bit chaotic.

Finally, when we managed to place our food orders, I decided to go with a burger featuring an Impossible patty, hoping it would be a satisfying vegetarian option. However, what should have been a straightforward order turned into an ordeal. After nearly an hour of waiting, my burger arrived but to my dismay, it wasn't vegetarian. After pointing this out twice, I placed my order once more. The third attempt finally resulted in an Impossible patty, but by then, I was ready to leave, and my meal was boxed up to go.

To add insult to injury, the initial interactions with our waiter were anything but pleasant. Their combative demeanor made it feel as though any attempt to resolve the issue was met with resistance rather than understanding. It was a frustrating experience that overshadowed what should have been a fun outing with family.

Just bought a burger from here and it was the most burnt, overcooked, dry burger I have ever had in my life. I cant believe the cook looked at this dang burger and still served it to me. How unprofessional. The steak fries were pretty good and the host was polite. But the burger was a disaster.

I am someone that tends to be easy to please. I wish to start by saying that my server was wonderful, very pleasant, outgoing and welcoming ... she was the only thing about my experience that was positive ... ( I am not 100% sure but I think her name was Angel ).

The problem was with my order ... Crab Bites and a Bacon Cheese burger no Tomato cooked Medium Mayo on the side and Onion Rings. To give credit to something that was done right the didn't put Tomato on my Burger ... that was the only thing with my food that went right.

The burger was so over cooked it was it was like biting into a dry hockey puck ... I didn't get the Crab Bites even after my server went back and asked for them a second time. The onion rings were cold ( that may have been the reason that were greasy as fried food that gets cold can get that way ) and lastly I never did get the mayo even after my server went back and asked for it a second time.

I would normally give a place a second chance but with this experience I WILL not be back again ... and yes I did tip my server, ( about 25% ), she being the only positive experience I had.

I do not know who was running the kitchen but it this is the quality of food you regularly serve to your customers I wonder how you stay in business.

I order here a lot! But lately they have a waiter who deals with the pick ups, her attitude is horrible, rude and she smells like she’s cutting onions! And fish, not sure if she was helping out the kitchen! But to be rude and smell is horrible, how ever the food here is great and the actual bartenders and staff are nice, as a local I will not be ordering until this woman has been relieved from service, there has been several customer who has dealt with this lady , I will be now going to a new started location, better service!

Today is 09/26/25 and it's 12:17 pm lunchtime..I just had the worst service from Dianond J. She has the worst attitude...my drink and my friends drink tasted like water..The white woman, only saying because I don'tknow her name made us perfect drinks....Diamond J was very unenthusiastic and unprofessional...I really can't believe the management would condone this behavior and I hope they reach out...I suggest not spending your money where employees don't care and then expect a tip...she's lucky my friend paid...I would have left one cent on my card...please take your business elsewhere where it's appreciated..because we a re in the hood doesn't mean you have to act like it...oh, she also gave my friend his food and brought me mine cold after 20 minutes..come on Starters management..really?

Best lamb chops I’ve ever had….. zip sauce I would drink it’s that good !!! This GEM in Detroit is a must go !!! Great people,Great atmosphere!!! Portions are so good definitely you’ll want to come in with an empty stomach .. top shelf liquor and wine !! And if you love sports lots of that too , bottom line everything I’ve had on the menu was done with perfect!!
