Sugah Please Breakfast Brunch Bar

I chose to have brunch at Sugah Please for my birthday with my mom, and it was a wonderful experience! The wait time was only about 20 minutes, and our waiter, Darius, was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing brunch. The food was unique and absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be returning to try more dishes. I highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! I came here for a brunch date and it was phenomenal! The blackened salmon and grits was the best. Latoya was our server and she was the sweetest. I will definitely be back.

I had the shrimp and grits, it did not look like the picture on the menu but it was very good. All together there were four people in my group. None of the plates looked like the menu, there was something missing on each plate. I was the only one that enjoyed my food and would order the shrimp and grits again. It's kind of expensive to be missing items that are supposed to come on or with the meal.

Was in Detroit for the weekend and ate at Sugah Please three times over two days: breakfast, dessert, & dinner. The food, atmosphere, and service were top notch. I had the bourbon omelet for breakfast (first time I had that ever); cheesecake; and the blackened catfish & grits for dinner. Delectable, one and all. I highly recommend this restaurant located on Larned Street downtown...not far from The Fist...which pays homage to Joe Louis. Enjoy.

Went to Detroit for a weekend. I ended up going to Sugah twice. The drinks were delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the catfish and grits.

The staff is nothing short of amazing. The food was seasoned to perfection, absolutely Delicious! Now let’s get into the ambiance… the atmosphere is healing from the music to the artwork. It’s definitely a beautiful vibe. We were treated like family in this place… I’ll definitely be back and recommend this place to my friends and family… this place was a pleasant surprise keep up the great work!

I had frozen batter wings dip in sauce for $20. Unacceptable for that price. Pork bites looked like i had bacon bits in a bowl covered with sugar. No flavor in grits and salmon. Drinks and staff were amazing.

If I could give this place a ZERO I would.
We went for a birthday party at 12 pm and had a private area. The staff had a “breast cancer awareness” banner up and we could not put our birthday banner up and had to put it on the window because they asked us not to mess it up.

Then I ordered soda. They said they had no pop available and had no canned pops as well.

Then we ordered our drink I settled for juice. Never got it.

I ordered chicken with fries. Sauce on the side. I was brought chicken WITH sauce and no fries. I never received my fries.

One of my cousins had hair in her shrimp and grits. And it wasn’t comped. And when she got the grits again they were cold.

The cups were DIRTY and the waitress said “we cleaned our glasses with coffee cups so the grounds are melted to the glass”

Then, one of my cousins ordered the salmon bites. And they told her they were OUT of salmon. How are you running out of things so quickly. It wasn’t even that full.

The waitstaff was decent. Moved SLOW. Overall I wouldn’t recommend. They give black peeked businesses a bad name.

AC, Payne and Darius and just overall management was very genuine. It was my Bday weekend, the service and food was definitely immaculate..catered to my every need !!…will be back 🤞🏾
