Supergeil offers a delightful modern twist on Turkish cuisine. The food was exceptional, and the drinks complemented the experience perfectly. A definite must-visit again for both the delicious food and impeccable drinks.

Really disappointing after hearing and seeing so many good reviews. The vibes were mediocre and the food was overpriced and one note. Will not be coming back. We got sat in back (even though we had a reservation) and the open concept makes it feel like you are in the kitchen, which did not look nice enough for customers to see. Front of the house is much nicer. Cocktails were alcohol forward and we could barely manage drinking them (I tried all 3 my group ordered, all were bad). The only highlight on the menu was the deviled eggs, which I could have made at home, fancy toppings added no flavor. Oysters, small and flavorless- not worth the market price. Fish and chips were fish chunks that tasted like bland potatoes with a weird mustard sauce that didn’t go, fries were decent but honestly too many fries for one person. Pasta tasted store bought and not al dente, sauce tasted like it came from a jar, shrimp were bland and chewy. I really wanted to like this place, especially since I was bringing family from out of town to see the city. Overall, would not recommend.

The fries were good and the drinks were good and the restaurant itself is lovely, however the steak frites are not steak frites. They are just a fatty lump of steak. Then when we sent that back and ordered the “lamb chops” we were greeted with equally fatty LOIN CHOPS which if you are not stupid, is completely different from lamb chops.

The food is great, and the manager sucks. Eat at your own peril.

It might just be me but supergeil is one of those places with caustic food.Over flavored fast food in a decent ambience and you’ll say it’s German street food and I’ll say, let’s just have something that has some substance. The sandwiches look impressive but there is hardly any meat in them. Just a lot of greens and zhoug is in everything — even the hummus. It would have been nice if we had bread with the hummus, we had to order bread separately. The service was great. The ambience airy and with a Brooklyn vibe and during flu season nice to feel you’re not crowded like sardines.

Brought some friends here after seeing the Oscar Shorts at DIA. It was their first time and they were delighted. The menu is so different and the food so good, we ended up over ordering because there were so many things to try. Small plates make it easy to try things. And the cocktails are particular creative and delicious. Visually, it's such fun and the vibe is warm and friendly. I've been here for brunch, too, which is delicious.

I went to this restaurant with a group of 11 girls. We had a reservation and overall we were very impressed by the food and atmosphere. For background knowledge: I was meeting some of the girls for the first time, some had to leave right after they ate, and some were just having a drink and no food. I am also a server myself and very understanding of all things server/restaurant related. But after some drinks had already come to the table, we went to get our food order taken and the server stated that we either had to put the bill all on one or split it evenly. I can absolutely understand why this is asked because it can be difficult and time-consuming to split many bills in a large group. But because of our situation, we did not feel comfortable with this route. I asked if we could split the checks and that’s when things went downhill. Our server was very very kind, but we could tell that it was frustrating for the her and not what the restaurant wanted us to do. I know the restaurant is most likely trying to set a precedent with bills, but there has to be some flexibility for your customers. If that flexibility is needed, then servers should be able to handle it seamlessly. We were then asked to either write down each of our individual orders or circle them on the one itemized receipt that was printed. She then took our cards back and forth to the iPad many times as she split things up. I asked what system they use and I was told TOAST - which is what I use as a server too (but in Grand Rapids). I will be honest, I was a little shocked with how difficult it was becoming because I am very aware of how to split up bills through the system even without seat numbers. TOAST is very user-friendly and is a system that is widely used in Michigan, so I would assume that theirs worked much like what I am familiar with. To us as the customer, it felt very much like we were asking for too much and becoming difficult even though we were very patient and willing to assist with any questions about what we ordered.I would suggest that those making a reservation are told about how bills are handled prior to them coming in. I made a new reservation just to see if maybe the person who made the initial one missed some verbiage about bills, but it was not on Open Table. If it had been on there, we would have been prepared.Overall, the food was amazing, the atmosphere bomb, but the headache over the bills made things a little awkward and uncomfortable.

Very cool, funky place. Interesting drinks, appetizers. Unique set of dish--if they say spicy it is spicy. A little loud for easy conversation, but an eclectic and enjoyable evening.

Arguably the best cocktails in metro Detroit. The food is delicious and different than many other restaurants. The Lutenitza and Georgian soup dumplings are out of this world. One of my top favorite restaurants in the Detroit area.

Very accommodating with our reservation time change. The service was fantastic. Our server took the time to explain some of the drinks and the menu. Also a tip on the best way to eat the dumplings. We sampled from a wide variety of menu items and enjoyed everything. Supergeil was a great dining experience.
