Sweetwater Wings
Chicken wings are what we do best. Marinated 24 hours, our wings are full of flavor without too much heat. We have won dozens of awards - Best Wings in Detroit HOUR MAGAZINE five years running. Best Wings in Detroit METRO TIMES, Best Wings in the State of Michigan 2018 MLIVE - WJR, Top 20 Placement in the US THRILLSEEKER, to name a few. We sell 15,000 lbs. weekly between four locations and our food truck so we are not alone in liking them. We Serve approximately 1 - 1/2 pounds of wings (weight before frying) which is about nine or ten wings depending on the size. Wings are served with a choice of bleu cheese or ranch and celery sticks - enjoy.
The Big Pig
Sweetwater's own pulled pork sandwich is tender pork, slow cooked in spices, and pulled from the bone. We then mix the pork with our special sauce and pile it high on a kaiser roll - kind of sweet with a hint of bbq served with a slice of onion and cole slaw.

Full Slab & Wings
For starters we use only Hormel Special Trim ribs, the best money can buy! They're slowly cooked in our five hour cooking process, and then blanketed in our piquant house-made sauce. Voted best ribs in Detroit (Detroit Free Press), we will put our ribs up against any in the city, they are that good. Furthermore, we're so anxious for you to try our ribs that we will throw in a full order of Sweetwater Wings absolutely FREE.

Sweetwater has ruined all other wings for me. Life-changing. Been one of my favorite restaurants for years and always a great meal, in an awesome old building. Got an earlier dinner there today and service was quick, kind and efficient. Our server Tiffany was sweet. I hope this place never changes!

Had dinner at Sweetwater Tavern in Detroit during the FICPFM conference, and it was a great choice! The restaurant’s historic vibe added to the experience, and the food was on point, which was delicious. Our server, Lana, was the real star of the night. She kept everything smooth, friendly, and just made us feel right at home. And as a margarita fan with experience in 27 states, I’d give theirs a 7.5 for solid flavor and balance. Ordered through door dash. Just wanted to give feedback on the order. Michigan Cherry salad, looked and tasted amazing, I ordered extra blue cheese didn’t receive (no big deal ) Mac & cheese was the cheesiest delicious..
My 1/4 whole wings were not the best I’ve had here. They were not the big juicy sweet water wings I’ve come to appreciate in fact they looked old and greasy.
