The beef ribs are amazing, the mac n cheese is amazing, and the smoked wings are amazing.

I'm going to happily try everything on the menu, but I'll always get that mac.

Verbally ordered 1/2 slab small end dinner, w/ baked beans& potatosalad. I was never advised that they don't sell small end dinners. When I arrived home I telephone the restaurant. Requested a call from the owner, it's 1pm and no return call. I telephone the restaurant again and was advised the owner is too busy.
The ribs were fat but tender, lacking flavor/seasoning, portions are generous. Sauce is mediocre also. Wasted 31.77. I will not be returning.

Based on my brother's review of Tameka, I had to leave one, too. We experience 100s of restaurants a week in our line of work and he never has a great experience so to hear how well you took care of him AND with the holiday tomorrow, I had to drop some love your way. Thanks, Tameka. He said you treated it like you were the owner. That's huge in today's lackluster restaurant industry.

Very pleasant coming here for the first time. Bbq joint that offers fried seafood I had to try it. Tameka has a very welcoming and hospitable attitude, she went above and beyond to help ensure my dietary restrictions were met. Not to mention the food is great! I will for sure be back next time I’m in the area. Thank you again Tameka

Dang I hate to do this but it's real. This BBQ was kinda nasty y'all. Nice people, bad ribs and sauce. I got a bad after taste. I won't go back. They missin flavor all day.

Food was grill great I didn’t like how sweet the meat was they put some sort of sweet rub on it so that made me dislike it but the service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and once again the food was grilled to perfection

Food was amazing! First time going here today and i had low expectations but i was very relieved to find out how the smoked chicken was perfectly seasoned and ribs was super tender. Didn’t like customer service but that’s detroit for ya but other than that the food was amazing 5/5

By far the best ribs, smoked chicken wings and catfish that I had in a minute.

This was my first time eating here. We ordered a medium rip tip dinner with baked beans, collard greens and an extra side of mac and cheese. The service and customer service was kind and welcoming. The portions were enormous but unfortunately the food no where near met my expectations. The mac and cheese was more, i think its egg, and noodle than anything else. Barely any cheese and the cheese that was was clunky and chunky. It was the worst thing we had. The collard greens were okay. Nothing to rave on about, but edible.and enjoyable. The baked beans were good but had a off after taste, it was also unusually thick. The rib tips were tender but lacked flavor.

I live in the neighborhood and was really hoping this would be fantastic BBQ, especially considering the reviews. I'm going to say that today was just an off day. I'm willing to give it another try- there are too many good ratings for this to be the normal. Once, I try it again, I'll edit this.

I got medium sized meal and couldn't finish it... Portion is great for the price and the food is amazing. Women who run the front always smiling, friendly and welcoming. they have deals on Tuesday too. Definitely worth it

My experience at this establishment was incredibly disappointing. There was a drunk man causing a disturbance, walking up to customers and being disrespectful. The staff did nothing to address the situation for about 30 minutes, only intervening after the behavior had gone on for far too long.

To make matters worse, the food was terrible. It was clear it had been rushed and wasn’t cooked properly. The quality was far below expectations, and it didn't taste fresh at all.

Overall, this was a frustrating experience not to mention it was my first time trying this place.

I ordered rib tips and smoked wings. Both items were delicious and cooked to perfection. They were also reasonably priced. In the past I also ordered a large order of meat at the last minute and they had no problem accomodating me. You definitely have to try them out if you haven't already.
