The block was a great time for a date night with hubby. Great food, delicious drinks (the dusse-Rita was A1) and great customer service.
Generous salad portions. Mine was the Greek salad with grilled shrimp! Tasty, in the Cobb salad style of organizing the ingredients. Poppy seed dressing just a bit sweet. Service very good.
Wonderful experience! First-time visit for our friends; first time in a very long time for us. The food and service were excellent. Even the vegetables were flavorful! Just formal enough to feel like you're having a "nice" dinner without the pressure!
Food was okay. Server had an attitude. Prices were expensive for the quantity/quality of food. Did enjoy the complimentary green tea shot for the everyone in the party. Decor was nice.
I love The Block. The food is always delicious, with a fantastic staff, and the atmosphere is so cool. I also love the different ethnic groups, ages, and friendliness of the customers. Great dining spot!!!
Food and service was excellent. So incredibly loud inside we could barely hear each other.
The waitress didn't seem motivated to take our table we were the only table o outside of her customers at the bar. She had very low energy. She seemed better with the customers at the bar. I'm a believer in putting positive energy in the world so I did tip her $30 on a $55 bill. Hopefully that turned her energy around. No thank you was given.
Very nice brunch spot. Club vibes with good food. Chicken wings delicious, grits are definitely hot but good!! Will be back.
Noise level was really loud. Between the three birthdays and the DJ it was hard to talk and had to yell. Otherwise everything was great
Ebony was a great waitress. Very kind and attentive. The French toast was phenomenal. The bacon was cheap, like the actual choice of bacon they offer. I was not a fan but our waitress quickly took care of the issue and offered another option. Overall it was a good experience and the staff we encountered were extremely nice. Also they do not play about that specific time for your meal. The website states 1:45 mins for dining. However we were nicely told our time was up around the 1hr 30 min mark. So update the site ;)

As always the restaurant was clean. The wait person was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was so good and plentiful. I love this restaurant.
Awesome experience. My family of 3 was sat in the bar area. Our server was very much dope, greeted us quickly. Drinks, and food came out quickly. We were in and out in all of 30 mins.
We went there before our show at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. I highly recommend making reservations. We both had Caesar salad with salmon. You get a lot of food and it's delicious. Our server was Ebony and she was fantastic. It is a little noisy in there, but I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Despite the overwhelming noise from a nearby party, amplified by the echoing ceilings, the meal was a standout. Every dish was hot and delicious, and the waitstaff were incredibly attentive. I'd love to return to enjoy the great food and service again, but I'll aim for a quieter lunch visit instead of dinner. But did I mention the hot and delicous? I had shrimp and grits.
The food was spectacular and the service was great. We tried this place on a whim and I'm sure we will be back again!
