Absolutely blown away. The atmosphere is perfect with the old church furniture / interior and the cathedral ceilings. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. We got the beet sandwich which was reasonably priced, a large portion size, and most importantly delicious.
Also - if you are a carrot cake lover like myself - the carrot cake chai tea latte was absolutely phenomenal. A must try!

I visited The Congregation three times during my work trip here in Detroit. It used to be a church and was remodeled into a coffee shop not too long ago. I had the turkey melt which was amazing as well as some of their drinks. Joshua recommended me the Devil’s Marg, which was his favorite. It was so good that I got it twice in the same sitting. Everyone here was kind and helpful, I’m grateful to the crew of the last night I was there especially, Joshua, Michael, Pio and Aiden were warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely visit again if/when I come back to Detroit

This is my favorite coffee shop in the Windsor-Detroit area! Coffee is amazing with great variety of syrups and specials. Lunch items are always fresh and flavorful. I especially loved the veggie bagel the last time I was there. Highly recommend for coffee, chill lunch or even remote work.

I enjoy this place every time. It’s not your typical restaurant…. For me, it’s more of a coffee house with some things you can nibble on. The space is beautiful and always bright and sunny. A great space to congregate.

Came here for the reviews, ended up very disappointed. The place could have a nice atmosphere but furniture is already old and needs to be replaced. It looks dirty and disorganized. I ordered a cappuccino and a slice of cake. The coffee was burnt and the cake was old. Mind you, the slice of cake was $10, I expected an outstanding or at least very good cake because it’s just hard to ruin German chocolate cake right? Well, no. Cake was dry and had no chocolate taste, maybe because it was old. Long story short, the place is overhyped and overpriced. The furniture and the place overall needs a good cleaning and renovation.

Interesting. Take on a coffee house But creative to say the least. Not a very efficient way to pick up your items because they have the pickup right by where the people stand in the line to place their orders. Somehow that needs to be done a little bit better it's very awkward and inconvenient how you have to walk over people and step to the side so they can get to the window. My turkey sandwich was really good and very expensive for such a small sandwich with no bacon. Looks like a very happening place for the community. There was a lot of people going coming in and out had recommended for anybody that wants to try a different coffee house or just hang out in the city and soak up the environment or the culture. Lol I almost forget the bees almost took us out outside on the patio 😵💫

The chai latte is good. I usually get it iced (at least during the summer months). Very tasty, except for the one time I asked for some espresso shots in there. The chai flavor was non existent and it was bitter. I'll stick to the regular chai from now on.
