A place we keep returning to. Their beer garden is amazing and allows dogs. The church that houses their bar is super nicely done.

I LOVED this shop! You can tell it’s a community gathering space. I enjoyed my excellent dirty chai while scoping out local art and savoring the community feel. The architectural details from the old church were stunning! The service was also super friendly!

Excellent and unique neighborhood spot. Lots of history in the area; this place honors its church and civil rights origins, yet is moving into a new era as well. Great service, wonderful atmosphere and a variety of community offerings.

Great cozy coffee house to come with avgroup or alone. If alone you will find friendly people to conversate with or you can stay to yourself. The coffee is good. There is a small menu of breakfast items, sandwiches and salads. There are also a few alcoholic beverages. It is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

I went there on my first date. But I don't know why he stopped talking to me after that day I met him in person there. He preferred Facebook contact rather than a phone number and yet he blocked me from Facebook. I don't know why I haven't seen him ever since. I was happy during the date. And then the moment was gone suddenly.

Today we purchased two carrot cake chai lattes. And both cups were half filled. We noticed that the quality of drinks depends on who is making them. Which is sad because my family and I usually go to the Congregation every weekend.

The coffee was good, I had the Red Eye coffee and I also had the turkey melt and that was great! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very laid and back and totally relaxed! I’m definitely looking forward to going back soon!!!

Great coffee shop in Detroit. Former church adapted into a coffee shop. The Rectory (just behind on the same property) serves pizza as well.

Nice space with ample seating. The cornbread cappuccino was excellent. A nice experience and a good spot to visit.
