I went to The Eagle for lunch and it exceeded my expectations! The food was truly delicious. The chicken just about fell of the bone of my drumstick and the mac and cheese was the perfect creamy, yummy side. It was also a cool vibe! As a Detroit resident I love that there's a new place to watch a game that's not just a "sports bar." The service was great, bathrooms clean, and just a 10/10 spot!

I waited a while before I had a waitstaff, but after she got there, she was very attentive and wonderful. The kitchen had run out of my order of lemonade, so they substituted a higher priced beverage. Meanwhile I used the lavatory to wash hands, unaware they’d brought my drink then threw it away, thinking I had gone. After a bit of comedy of errors, I got my original order of lemonade - the kitchen found some - and my order of 1/2 fried chicken, which basically was - okay. I would say the meat was overfried. If I go back, I’ll ask for some juice be left in the chicken! The mashed with horseradish(?) was okay, but the cole slaw is great! And the waitperson tried to make up for my earlier experiences - they were pretty good. There is a younger crowd (I'm in my late 60s) and the vibe plays to them. I people watched as I waited and enjoyed the youth, but this place didn't feel homey or special as a date place. I might do lunch. Meh.Parking: I had to park across the street - the area was crowded.

Had some time to kill on a weekday afternoon. Pleasant atmosphere, good prices. Food good, but service excellent: Rio at the bar took excellent care of me! He and the kitchen staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. I'll come back for sure!

The ambiance and service were great! Our server was training and being a former industry worker, was so good! Almost happy to train which is sometimes unheard of. The food, it was as expected. I've heard people go for the drinks and I didn't have any but the collards, mac and cheese and chicken were delish! I was super excited for the shrimp and grits and slaw but the mac and collards blew those out. We'll be back just for the service and mac alone
Great atmosphere, service was great food came out fast and looks promising until my god brother and I dug in. He ordered a grilled cheese and discovered mid bit there were peaches or something on it and instantly didnt like it. I dug into my mac & cheese and thats what it literally is noodles and a nacho sauce type of cheese … not good at all. The chicken was decent and the collard greens were pretty good. I wont be going back. Pretty place & presentation… food lack luster.
