I almost paid an extra 20% tip, and I may have paid double tips in my previous dining experiences. We were a group of 4 people when I received the bill. I noticed that the total amount seemed too high and upon checking, I realized that a 20% tip had been added to my bill without my consent or prior notification. I would appreciate it if such practices were avoided in the future.

Went for our anniversary with our 9 month old. We thought the outdoor atmosphere would be fun and perfect for a family date night. I was wrong. Red flag #1: the hostess was rude when we asked for a table. Red flag #2: We sat for over 15 minutes without being greeted by a server. Red flag #3: the restrooms don't have a changing table.Kid-friendliness: No changing table but has a sandy beach-like area perfect for kids to play.

They served us cold food that’s been sitting in “warmers” for hours. We told them how nasty and cold it was and left everything on the bar. Such an awesome spot it’s a shame the food was so awful!

This place isn't even called the fountain anymore. Me and my friend walked down there from Greektown and was looking all over for "The Fountain" and finally asked and they said oh that's not here anymore. It has a new name now. There was about five sandwiches on the menu and about five drinks and that was it not to mention the wait staff were sitting at a table over in the corner and acted like they didn't even see us. Also, in the pictures on the website they make it look like it's a whole lot bigger than what it really is. It's a small area with some sand and some chairs around it. Don't be fooled - I was not impressed and I hate to say that about the Detroit area because I love it so much.

Open to the park with sandbox an outdoor bar, included - this was the perfect meet up spot for a first time meet with now friends! The area was lively with a mix of people of all ages. The were birds, sun, music, and laughter. Various tables to sit at if you are able to find one that is vacant - sunny and shady spots. There is also a couple water features, of course. We didn't order food, but next time I will for sure try something as the menu looked to have some nice sounding options! My friend got me their Fairground Lemonade which was light and refreshing for the hot day. The staff looked to be busy, but that's a good thing - I liked seeing how many people were out and about - we were there maybe early afternoon (1-2pm arrival on a Saturday).

Staff too busy flirting with each other and other patrons to serve us. Tried multiple times at the bar and with the waitstaff on the beach, we walked out after 20 minutes. Skip out on this place if you’re looking for that Detroit level of service that is found at many other establishments in this wonderful city.

I have been calling down there for 3 days to reserve a section or a few tables for my 20yr reunion meet and greet. The line has been busy from the time they open until close. Can you reserve seating?

Once I made it home I realized that I did not sign the receipt or leave a tip because I was rushing. My total was $30.74 pending. Once it cleared my new total was $40.74. The waiter left herself a tip of $10. She must have signed my name SMH. Definitely fraud. I would have never left her a $10 tip because we had to tell her several times to get our drink order because she kept forgetting to bring it. I didn’t order a drink but my friend did.

Great place to chill after walking around downtown on a hot day. People are nice and you get served almost immediately, prices are average, I would recommend

I was out for my son's B Day in Detroit. Waited for 20+ minutes to get seated. Security was cool. Seated at a table next to bar/kitchen. I was informed restroom trailer was out of order. I went to the Guardian Building to use their facilities. Came back & still not waited on. Waited patently for another 15 to 20 minutes......still not waited on. We had a show to catch, so we dipped. Got something quick at the Tin Roof & enjoyed our show & the rest of the night in Detroit. I suggest if you are working on a schedule, maybe avoid the Fountain......I hear the food is good. What I saw & smelled looked appetizing.?? Zero stars would be more appropriate, but not an option for Google reviews. Thanks!

Place was fun, and it is really nice to sit on the patio. Food and beer are a bit expensive. Food is good, but not great
