Jordan was our bartender last night and he was amazing! Being short staffed and very busy, he still took excellent care of us and the drinks were delightful. Thank you!

Exceptional, one of my favorite places in the world.Already on the outside there is a 'wow effect'...but what about the inside? This place not only immerses us in a sumptuous era but also brings a special atmosphere. The service is exceptional. The prices are absolutely fair, and it's great.

We were visiting from South Carolina and as a Whitney, we HAD to stop while here. And WOW! The inside and out was so mesmerizing! We were going for dinner but canceled -only bc we ate too much pizza earlier. But we really wanted to check the place out, so we went to the bar on the 3rd floor instead. We were not disappointed at all! From the moment you walk In the door, the hospitality is warm and inviting. Greeted w a live piano player by the fireplace, the stairwell reminded me of the titanic (I was there!!) jk. But the building has this extremely original and vintage style. Can’t wait to come back one day from the south! Our bartender, Jordan, was so chill, talkative, busting his a $$, was running around the place, and still kept a great attitude w a conversation. He was incredible! I bartend at a cocktail bar and felt like I suck compared to him lol. We can’t wait to come back one day

Wonderful staff and service . A little overpriced for what you get to be honest, but you are paying to be at THE WHITNEY! They could also up their wine game a little . It goes from very cheap foreign wine to expensive opus one with not much in between .

Such a special experience! We stopped by for a drink at the Ghost Bar and got a whole historic private tour. Alfred was awesome and we highly recommend visiting this Detroit landmark!

Excellent food and service. Lighting was too low. Had to use my phone to read the menu. Special birthday menu, pricing was hard to discern even with asking twice, so meal was much more expensive than expected, and we couldn't tell if the $40 discount was applied. Recommended dessert was far too sweet. Coffee, fresh brewed for us, was barely warm. Lobster bisque and beef wellington were outstanding as was the appetizer trio. Staff courteous and friendly.

Dirty and run down. Sub par drinks and apps. Was a disappointment. I was hoping for a nicer atmosphere and all around experience.

Wonderful experience for my mother's birthday. The food was excellent all around. Highly recommend the eggs Sir Whitney. The pear starter and scones were absolutely amazing and highly recommend

Unusual experience. I've dined at the Whitney many times, usually fantastic. This time, our wait staff had us feeling rushed and unwelcome. Courses coming too fast, and not enough time to eat and talk. We had to ask about desert, we were not offered a menu, and then again about coffee or tea, it was not offered. Food quality and preparation, creativity, and quality was also slightly below normal standard for this restaurant. Really unfortunate.

Another enjoyable brunch at this lovely restaurant. The service was great; food & beverage superior & ambience outstanding. We celebrated a birthday and the pianist played Happy Birthday. Nice

Absolutely amazing. This is the second year that we have gone to the Whitney for Tea. The scones, sandwiches and desserts were so delicious, and they were different from last year. Being in the Whitney is such a great experience. I want to go back for a paranormal tour. The staff was friendly. No complaints! Can't wait to go back again.

It was a wonderful afternoon! From the mimosa to the goodbye- lovely!! We had one gluten free guest and she left feeling cared for and we all left feeling full? Can't wait to treat ourselves again?

Excellent as always! Celebrated my birthday with lobster and steak. The menu had " Happy Birthday Beverly" printed on the top. The waiter, Will, was fantastic and very engaging. When dessert arrived, candle lit, Joel played happy birthday on the piano. We were in the Groom's room. Lovely evening!!!

I went to the Whitney before my half marathon at the Detroit Free Press the next day. The building was breathtaking, every floor offered a step back in time with beautiful details everywhere you turned. The staff was kind and super accommodating. They wanted you to have the best time and offered us suggestions. There was a piano player that would play on pianos on multiple floors. Our waiter was the sweetest individual. He took the time to treat us like we were the only table he had. He even drew a little design on my dessert's tray that said, "Good Luck" with a little running stick figure. Both my friend and I were enchanted and delighted by the whole experience...and I have not even gotten to the food! The bread basket...we had seconds. It was so delicious! She had the pork shank and I had the chicken, both of us were doing happy dances with each bite. We split the pumpkin mousse for dessert and it was truly just little layers of happiness. I think it is safe to say that we both cant wait to come again!
