Wonderful food, service and drinks. I had halibut with mushroom risotto, others in our party had lamb shank and pork chops, all superb!

The Rattlesnake Club is a great standby and an old favorite. Its location makes it better suited for the summer since it's one of the few restaurants close to the river and Aretha Franklin amphitheater. The food is solid, and there's a great variety, so there's something for everyone.

When we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and a “Happy Anniversary.” The ambiance was very nice, and our server was knowledgeable and efficient. The drinks and food were very good. I had the pomatini and hubby had the Pinot noir. The beet salad was a great starter. My lamb shank fell off the bone - so good. Chef made a vegetarian dish for my husband, that was also good. Dessert (Nutella Bread pudding) was also fabulous. We walked along the river walk briefly, afterward, and it was a pretty view. Not a bad way to celebrate 20 years!
The atmosphere was very simple for a fine dining restaurant, but it was clean and well lit. The staff was very friendly. They greeted us promptly and were very attentive to our needs. The experience was going fairly well until we received our food. We did not like a single thing that we ordered. The food was very bland. The presentation of the food was nice but there was no seasoning in the food. I couldn't force down more than a sample of each item. Even though we didn't like the food, I was prepared to pay for it and accept the loss. To my surprise, the waitress saw how much we did not enjoy our and didn't charge us for the main course. We paid for our drinks and appetizers. I think the food could be exceptional in this place if it was properly seasoned. I can not compliment the staff for being friendly, professional, and attentive.

Food and drinks were excellent. Service was strange Had a bossy waitress. Not customer oriented and very much out of line for a restaurant of this caliber. More like a diner waitress. The place was empty on a Saturday night, so there was no excuse not to have anything but an excellent experience.
The food was very good, service was attentive. Great view of the Detroit River and you can walk the river walk before or after

I’ll give it a 2 star. Lackluster staff food mediocre at best. Sorry no reason to leave the suburbs if this is the best Detroit has to offer.
