Stopped in today before a show at St. Andrew's. I haven't been there since the 80's when it was The Golden Gallion.Steven behind the bar was welcoming and friendly. The Beer Was Cold and the Popcorn was delicious. Burger was super tasty and the Corned Beef was wonderful.Tommy was there which was a super BONUS!We don't get downtown often but the next time we do we will definitely stop! Thanks Steven and Tommy!

We stopped in here late at night after a Red Wings home game since there weren't too many other options that late and were able to get some good food and drinks before calling it a night. The service was quick and friendly, the food was good, and the prices were reasonable.Very cool inside, lots of TVs for watching games, lots of cool sports memorabilia, and a very welcoming staff. We also talked to Tommy himself who told us that they run shuttles to/from local sports for his patrons, which we wish we would have known before hand, we would have dropped by before the game and to take advantage of that!Kid-friendliness: They didn't have issue with us bringing our kids in and had plenty of options available on their menu that kids would love, but at the time we were there, the fellow patrons were not exactly acting in a kid-friendly manner.

They didn't carry pinot grigio, chili was gritty, but the music & popcorn was great! Bartender could've been friendlier.

Had a great time at Tommy's, can highly recommend the corn beef Reuben sandwich. Popcorn was addictive, atmosphere was perfect, would highly recommend.

Great place. Good variety of alcohol. Very welcoming staff and friendly owner. Perfect place to go before and after the game since they have 2 shuttle.

Nothing special. Basic bar fare at 3x the price because of its location. Mandatory 20% tip on groups of 4 or more. No split checks. No special orders or substitutions. You get to order exactly what is on the greasy, dirty paper menu. Draft beer was $9 a pint. It wasn't busy, but the server was slow, inattentive, and forgetful. Pass on this place. There are plenty of good places to eat downtown. This isn't one of them.

Turkey club left a little to be desired. Dogs were overcook. The tater tots and chicken salad was amazing. Great place to chill. But the turkey club kinda killed it.

Stopped in for dinner with a larger party and immediately the vibe was off. The two women who waited on my table were aggressive and not very accommodating. My group was being particular about some things but the servers did nothing to try to resolve the situation. Things got uncomfortable between my group and the staff so I couldn’t wait to get the bill paid and leave. Nobody tried to diffuse the situation and one staff member came by multiple times to say passive aggressive things to my party about how we should pay our bill. The food was typical bar food, nothing to complain about there. It probably would have been a better experience if it was a group of 4 or less. Also, they have a parking lot so that made things easier since we didn’t have to worry about finding a spot.

Great place for drinks. Don't bother with food. It was 1 hour and 15 minutes before we got our food. Food was OK. Our first time there. Dive bars is my thing. Really disappointed. We were told our food went to another table. Still took another 45 minutes before we got food.

Cute little hometown bar with a big back room. Friendly services and friendly patrons. Love this little place...I'm a vegetarian. I'm so glad they offer a black bean burger. They also offer a fancy grilled cheese with your choice of American cheese, cheddar, Swiss, Bleu or feta.DBO will cook you up some food! Lay will take care of you. This place is like "home."They're known for The Bar to be at for any Detroit Sporting event: Lions, Red Wings and Tigers.Come park here for free, grab a bite and a drink and head to the game...
