We dined here for the first time this week and had an incredible experience. The ambience and quality of service really stood out to us. The build out of the space is also beautiful. The food was some of the best we’ve had in Detroit. We especially recommend the chips and side salsas, tlayuda, tetela, and enchiladas! We will definitely be returning.

I recently dined here with a party of 8 and, unfortunately, my experience didn’t meet my expectations. The portions were surprisingly small, especially considering the high prices. Additionally, the food we received lacked flavor, and we even had to send a dish back because it wasn’t up to par. Some of the dishes were overcooked and gave constructive feedback to help them out, surprised that they said they won’t be serving that dish in the future due to bad reviews. I believe good restaurants should provide value in terms of taste and portion size, so this experience was disappointing. Hopefully, they can make improvements to enhance both the quality and value of their offerings. Staff was great, atmosphere was nice and welcoming. The food was not worth it.

A good meal, but perhaps not superlative, especially for the price. I think that fine dining in the Mexican food genre is possible, but this place just does not have the transcendent flavors necessary to take it to that level, where the price of the meal justifies the quality of the food. My recommendation to them would be to be a little bit more generous with the portions and some of the accoutrements of a Mexican meal, such as not charging extra for tortillas, so that diners walk away with a good meal, both in terms of quality and portion size for the money. As is, it is a lot of money to spend on an above average, but not outstanding meal, and that is difficult to justify repeating.
