The meat is always on point the sides need major adjustments the sweeter sides are entirely too sweet and the savory sides are not all that flavorful, greens taste like water greens and black pepper. I think if they tweak the sides they would be a force to be reckoned with

I went to Velle's Grille yesterday for dinner in the hope of supporting a black owned business. I have no regrets. I had the Turkey Chops with Mac & cheese, collard greens and a side of yams. Good portion sizes. Everything was hot and seasoned perfectly. My meal was delicious. My husband had chicken wings with baked beans and macaroni. He also ordered a burger. He says the burger was delicious and the sides were on point. He woke up and ate the chicken for breakfast and he says we gotta go back lol. Overall we are definitely giving this place another chance.

My chicken sandwich was burnt. And the chicken itself was sooooooooo thick that it was tough. Very disappointing. Because I had a good experience a few weeks ago. I guess it depends on who’s cooking

First time trying Velle’s. As I was excited to try the food due to the reviews. I order chicken Alfredo over rice add tri-color peppers and I also order bbq fried ribs with Mac and yams. We literally wasted $43 because we both didn’t eat our food. Ribs were old, Mac tasted like cheese and oil. The yams was good. My chicken Alfredo had lumps of cheese very disturbing. I called and text the guy communicated with him and sent him pics. He didn’t offer anything for me. I will not be returning.

Best black owned food I tasted so far and very friendly! I really want to try everything on the menu. They make your food fresh so you might want to call it in. I had the turkey ribs, greens and yams. Them turkey ribs were tender and falling off the bone. The yams were sweet to a perfection and the greens were perfect also. I went yesterday and I can't wait to return again today. Must give them a try yall!

The outside looks clean, great paint job.I ordered two platesThe Orange Roughy w/ buttered rice and baked beans ( now these beans didn't look like no "Bush's" baked beans either) plate 10 out of 10 along with getting the ITIS! TALK ABOUT COMFORT FOOD!2nd order wasFried Turkey Ribs w/ macaroni and green beans which was my my friend and he totally smashed that plate, he rates 10 out of 10!Dessert was delicious!Banana puddings and the strawberry cake!I'm so glad I decided to eat here. The price was worth it !Wonderful cookingGreat attitudesGreat energy! Thank you
