Staff were nice and friendly but the food seems frozen and not fresh. The quality has really gone down and they forgot one of my items. Sorry, I tried to give them my business, but I will not be back.
I grew up in this area and they were good then. Years later I decided to try them out and the food is delish like a lot of U buy we fry places don't season the chicken they just drop it in grease and put lemon pepper on it but nah not Vergotes you can taste the seasoning and they have soul food and gumbo but when the owner is going to get Honey garlic sauce because I asked for it this place is ?
I got a walleye sandwich and coleslaw. It had been years since I last ordered from this restaurant. The coleslaw recipe was new. I didn't like it as well as the previous one. The fish, as always, was hot and fresh. 4 nice pieces and two pieces of bread with homemade tarter that was the bomb. I was happy to have returned.
