The woman manager has a disgusting attitude. The restaurant sent an entire wrong order and stated that's not a victory problem when called. The driver said he brought the food they gave him and management said it wasn't the same food smh. Then she tried to tell me I only paid $30 when I paid almost $60. I wouldn't care if it was a penny. I paid for 4 plates and only got 2 that were not even what I ordered. Management said they weren't losing out on money but what about the family that paid 60 and kids still not fed.. Horrible attitude and establishment

wasn't cooked to max potential, music wasn't top tier played britney Spears don't recommend. service was mid didnt say your welcome when told thank you. hair of waiter on my wings "almost all of them" but giving props to the bathroom that changed my mood as it had great decor and peeing felt outstanding.

Absolutely delicious. I ordered on Uber Eats and got a buy one get one, got 2 chicken dinners. The greens were great, the macaroni was delicious, the cornbread was great. The chicken was good, not the best, but still very good. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal.For real though, the macaroni was some of the best I’ve ever had.Edit: the packaging was WAY better than most places.

Omg their food is so good!! This is the 2nd order from them and it did not disappoint. Smothered pork chops were so good. Only thing I can complain about is the collards...I forgot to order them again!!! Next time!!!

They are very nice. Always will cook fresh fish if asked. Very large portions. They don't use a lot of salt. And the food is very flavored. Best soul food. And it's Black Own. Hidden Jen in a liquor store.
THE BEST MAC AND CHEESE. I have yet to taste a better Mac and cheese, even from restaurants like their Mac is the best. I drive 25min out of my way to come grab some food from here. Every place does main dishes pretty much the same, you got chicken beef and fish, so I look for good sides and their sides are amazing but my favorite is by far the Mac and cheese. Highly recommend, great food, good customer service most times and the best Mac and cheese like seriously try it, you'll love it.

I ordered chicken dinners for my family & i The chicken was under cooked taste like it was cooked in burnt chicken grease & I also had a little piece of pork chop inside my chicken dinner. What if I was allergic to pork?? Yams were nasty they weren’t sweet & was still kinda hard. && that mac & cheese chileeee it’s a complete 0/10 taste spoiled & had a few burnt noodles idk if the cooks were having a bad day but this was my first & last time ordering from here & I will NEVER order again . $55 down the drain

I was referred by a family member whom frequent this place. I ordered sides mash potatoes and gravy, yams ?, and greens, although the greens was a tad bit salty and a little less stems everything thing was definitely delicious ? with every bite. The food definitely to me beat motor city food hands down. Service excellent, atmosphere okay with being in a liquor store a bit open for me safety concern. But okay ?. Keep up the good work as your customer base grows please don't get comfortable then start serving terrible food like motor city soul food. I certainly will return and refer your business to other future customers. Bless the hands that cook the food and bless the hands that serve the food as well. Quality and taste matters.
