A small menu of items to choose from. The food was good, small portions at a big price. Drinks were tasty and expensive too.Vegetarian options: Just a few vegetarian options available.Parking: Free gated gravel parking lot located down the street from the restaurant.

The main dishes were overpriced for how they were served. Wagyu skirt steak wasn't very wagyu tender, short rib was very dry. The best thing to eat was the chicken tenders and bao buns. Jalapeño and cheese croquettes were pretty good too.

Went here on a whim on a Saturday night. They graciously accommodated us even though they were busy that night. The ambience was nice, it was dark, clubby kinda vibe and the noise was moderate-loud, but it was also packed. The food was amazing! We got the baos just because I'm a sucker for those things. They were good but the szechuan speared ribs though were my favorite. So crispy with the seasoning but it still falls apart. They were out of the short ribs by the time we were there so we opted for the wagyu skirt steak which was beautifully cooked and delicious. Come hungry!

Stopped here after a play at The Fischer to grab dinner (had reservations). Food is small portioned and hilariously expensive, but we left "full". Probably spent far more on cocktails than food. Decor is kitschy and punk, but clean and classy. That said, I'm also a geezer that could name every song that was played. I'll recommend checking it out, but be prepared to spend a lot of money. Wait staff was fine.

I will dream of their bao buns!! The cauliflower one is to die for. We ordered pretty much everything to try and there were a few things we would skip next time, one definitely being the tomato soup. The manager got word that we didn’t like it and provided the best customer service to us to accommodate. Our server was on top of things and amazing. The prices were VERY high though. Our bill came to $275 without tip. We were uncharged $30 because we paid with a card. They definitely need to lower their costs

Turn the stars into dollar signs and I'll give this place 5/5. So overpriced. $30 for three bites of crab Rangoon. $130 for 6oz steak. $15 for mocktails. $9 for a single bao. $20 for soup. If this was a Michelin star rated place, that's one thing - but this is mediocre fare w a vibe that wants to be punk, but just comes across as trying too hard. Was the food bad? No. But unless they cut the menu prices to be more like 1/3 of what they are, I can't recommend this place to anyone - not even for a drink (Unless you want a good laugh at the pseudo-philosophical inspo quote art on the wall when you walk in the door).

Beautiful and cool place, good service, decent food (nothing spectacular), but overpriced…. 1 appetizer + 1 entree (that was an appetizer size) + 1 drink = 90$ :-

The food here is amazing, service is great the workers are bubbly and excited to see you, and the ambiance is very nice. It's a little on the darker side which to me is just what I like!

Vigilante is a very cool space, modern and neon. The fare is Asian inspired, some fusion, and fun monikers for the cocktails. Service was great, our server was sweet and friendly, able to answer questions about the menu for our group of six. The menu is a bit limited, they recommend sharing, though it can work both shared and individual. The bao buns only come one an order for instance, which I did not realize, a friend and I spilt a chicken and a cauliflower. We all liked the cauliflower better, the sauce and flavors were great. The chicken was good, but a bit uneven for the bun. They are pricey at $9 each. The king trumpet bulgogi was recommended by our server. The lettuce cups fell apart a bit, but the flavor of the mushrooms and all the different types of pickles were great. A friend and I split the braised short rib, also fantastic flavor. It was a bit fatty, but that's a short rib, there was plenty of meat, and the puréed potatoes and veggies were great with it. A good experience, I would go back to try other menu items.

I came to celebrate Valentine's Day. It has a beautiful interior and was unlike any other. Our server was excellent and provided great suggestions. Starting strong, the chicken bao was one of the best chicken items I've had! It is SO juicy and the dry rub hits the spot. Such a great combination with all the other toppings and the soft bao bun. The trumpet bulgogi was pretty good too and I was happy with all the banchan it came with. However, I thought the crab Rangoon was a little too much and the ahi tuna Wellington fell below expectations and wasn't worth it for the price. The drinks are also incredible. I would definitely come back again and get just the chicken bao and be extremely happy though!

Free parking across the street- bonus! Japan meets punk rock. Loved the decor, giant Iggy Pop, lighting, Sakura, everything. Ordered a drink called Vigilante Shit - shh, hidden Swiftie here. It was a nice blend. Started with Crab Rangoons. Delicious. Then my beautiful Lobster Tail arrived. The presentation was spectacular- thankfully the taste was just as good. Perfect texture and consistency- the sweetness of the meat goes well with the honey and other spices. It's pure magic. Topped it off with a plate of three different flavors of ice cream - Dragonfruit, sesame seed, and some type of potato. Sounds strange but each flavor delivered. Highly recommended.

I was really underwhelmed by this place-- maybe I'm just not their target audience, but I don't understand having such high prices for such tiny portion sizes, and mediocre food. I understand they are trying to market themselves as a shared plates restaurant, however, the prices do not lend themselves to that, nor do most of the dishes. I went with a group of friends. One friend got a martini that was completely inedible; she said it was like straight rubbing alcohol despite asking for it to be extra dirty-- my friends also had to ask where their drinks were because it took so long. Upon combing the menu I was leaning towards the open faced crab Rangoon. I am so incredibly happy I hopped on Yelp first as I was flabbergasted when I saw the review photo-- not at all what I was picturing, the name is extremely misleading. 3-4 wonton chips on a plate, even though the item is listed under the entrees area...? I ended up getting the chicken wings which had a good smoked flavor to them and actually was a decent portion size compared to the rest of the menu, however I wasn't particularly hungry and had I been, I'm unsure if it would have been enough. Not to mention I have had chicken wings up the road at Honest John's for a fraction of the price that were better and was a huge serving. My friend got the chicken soup and couldn't finish it because she didn't like it at all. I also can't justify almost $20 for a bowl of chicken soup. Our waitress was nice as was the hostess but I won't be returning to this restaurant.
