The hash browns absorb the flavor of whatever has been cooked in the oil. I'm not sure what is going on here. I ordered hash browns on two different occasions at least a year apart (I was so turned off the first time that my hash browns tasted like fish) I figured they were having an off day. That is not the case, at least a year later, I tried them again. Hash browns were still being fried in the same oil as the fish. I've never had that experience at any other White Castle.

Still the best sliders in America! For all my 64 years of being on this Earth White Castle hamburger has been fairly priced, fresh and done right. People in states where there no white castles always come home to get one. The other sliders just don't compare!
