Adorable little spot in lovely downtown Dexter. I had the huevos rancheros and my husband had a burger and both were well made and presented.

Like so many other reviewers, I want to support this restaurant but it needs strong management and some changes. We were there on a Tuesday evening and ordered around 7:20pm. Shortly after ordering the very apologetic waiter returned to say they were out of one of the ordered menu items. My friend reordered and the waiter left only to return again to say they were out of that menu item also. Third try, another items was order along with a Heineken beer. Again the waiter returned there was no more fish and they were out of Heineken! Frustrated, my friend didn't try a 4th time and had nothing for dinner; that really was a downer on the evening. Why didn't the waiter start by letting us know what menu items were no longer available? Then we could have decided what we, as a group wanted to do. Also, at the very least, the manager should have come to our table and apologized. This is just standard for any good restaurant and would have gone a long way in smoothing over the annoyance. Finally, this is minor ... why charge for bread? And if you insist in changing for bread ($5) at least bring enough bread for the table! Overall, the whitefish was good, the service slow (not sure they have enough wait staff) but very friendly and apologetic for all the problems we had, but the manager should have been involved. I won't return again ... until maybe next summer.
Scallops with jalapeno grits were fantastic. Those in our group that got the fish tacos were less impressed but other food was all good. Service was fantastic and good came out quickly.

Great patio on a fall day. Burger was very good and done medium as requested. Potato leek soup was tasty and not too rich with butter and cream. Reasonably priced to boot.
Quiet during lunch easy for me to hear people, the vibe is awesome love it and also it was my first time

I have enjoyed many good meals in downtown Dexter since moving to the area very recently. Dexter’s Pub and Aubree’s Pizzeria & Grill have offered delicious food each time I have gotten takeout. I wasn’t impressed at all with the Fillmore Bar & Grill. Some nice young guy greeted when I entered the building, but the bartender didn’t even throw me a glance or a smile. She just asked who was the order for. She laid down the check in front of me as she went to get the food. She came back and just put the bag on the bar. She didn’t say thank you. I get home, and there’s no utensils in the bag. Luckily, I had a few disposables. Our items have been delayed moving up here. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and a small Caesar salad. I received one tiny chicken breast which was slightly burnt on the edges. The small portion of overcooked spaghetti was like paste, tasteless and inedible. The side of Caesar was a few romaine lettuce leaves with some crushed up bread crumbs and a little dressing. The chicken breast was $23 and the side of Caesar was $8 for a whooping total of $32.86 with the tax. I wish I didn’t tip the bartender either. She didn’t deserve it. We usually tip, because we know how hard it can be in the restaurant business. I won’t be back, and neither will my family when they move up here.

The house is cute, the staff is very friendly, and the food is adequate. However, the noise level was unbelievably loud. The room to the left of the entrance is an echo chamber. Service was slow and poor. We had to ask them to remove empty plates from the table. In addition, it was 90 degrees and the door was left open to serve guests on the patio. That made it uncomfortably warm and brought in the flies to share our meal. Maybe they can make some improvements to better serve their customers.
Great restaurant. Good service and food. Place was empty when we came on a Tuesday afternoon.

Food was very good we had the Mahi tacos and Fillmore fries. The ketchup was oh so good. They’re very knowledgeable about celiac disease and Gluten free. They know about cross-contamination good place to go.The outside was really relaxing in downtown Dexter.

It’s been over 18 months since I ate at the filmore due to terrible food experience. Decided to try it again. I won’t be back again. Absolutely not good food. We had 2 apps and 2 mains. Nothing was worth coming back at all. Very disappointed yet again.

Very strange flavors and mild and strong ups and downs in the flavors and textures of every dish. Nachos had a disturbing flavor that was very overpowering in the beans and cheese was like soup. Sauce in the garlic, white wine pasta was broken and had no flavor. Our waitress was excellent.

The whitefish sandwich I ordered was so soggy it fell apart in my hands. I had to eat it with a fork. The gazpacho soup was absolutely the worst I have ever eaten; was unable to even finish it. The only plus was our waitress was very efficient and pleasant. I shall not return.

I give restaurants two visits before commenting on them. The atmosphere is very nice with interesting architectural features. Last fall I tried the pulled pork sandwich and I found it to be drowned in sauce but otherwise tasteless. My spouse had a poke bowl and loved it. Tonight we decided to give it another try and sat at the bar. I ordered a cosmopolitan and it was primarily cranberry juice. I think it appeared that they had pre made mixers and I could really tell. We ordered bang bang shrimp and it was so overcooked and dry and had no flavor. The worst I have ever had. We then ordered a burger medium rare as I was afraid to try anything adventurous after the shrimp. It was burnt on the outside and well done. I did send that back no apology from the staff. They tossed us the new one with the same French fries from the original burger. The fries were cold. The staff seemed angry and never once asked us how our food was or engaged us in conversation. I normally tip 30% or higher but I tipped a flat 20%. I will never go back. This was a bummer of a Saturday evening.
