HONEY FUNNY

We live in Saugatuck, and the first time for breakfast. It was rainy day on Saturday morning, place was busy and had to wait for a while. The food was a great and friendly service. But I wish it had more tables so we don't have to wait. Because we were very hungry ?.

I visited this place a while back, and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were quick to help and answer questions, and they were very friendly and professional. The prices are also quite fair for what you're getting in my opinion!

The best restaurant in Saugatuck-Douglas... a little hidden gem. If you want a pretentious meal, go elsewhere. If you want delicious food with a Greek twist, this is it!Vegetarian options: Most can be made vegetarian.

This is an absolute must for a solid comfort food breakfast spot. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best we’ve had in Michigan and the breakfast sandwich and omelette were fantastic. It gives off a “hole in the wall” vibe but that won’t matter when you taste the food. Anytime we are in Saugatuck we stop in for breakfast. Consistently delicious and friendly customer service.

Worst service ever! Waited 40 minutes for a salad that was served in a plastic takeout container with a plastic fork. I do NOT recommend this place at all!

My group of friends comes here once a year and love, love the food, staff and atmosphere. Only recommendation is to add sound absorbing panels to inside walls to help hearing when conversing with others in a confined space. Lovely Cafe!!!

Food was delicious. The place was small and cute, very busy on a late summer morning. We didn't have a wait at 10:45 a.m. but it looked like one started shortly after we got there. Our waitress was wonderful and got us started on drinks right away. She took our order and put it in but we had to wait about 30 minutes for our food. Not sure if that was because they were busy or what. There were only three of us, so it isn't like we were a huge party.Once the food finally arrived it was hot and tasty and everyone got just what they ordered. I particularly loved that they served real shredded hash brown potatoes (where I live in New York, has browns are fried cubed potatoes, which are called home fries here). My husband ordered the home fries and said they were good but wished they'd included green peppers and onions like they serve back East. Well, I told him, that's what they do out here in the land of the Pop (not soda, lol). The moral of the story is the Blue Star Cafe will serve up a tasty, inexpensive breakfast that's worth the wait. Try it!

First of all, they only had like six ice cream flavors. I ordered a flurry with bananas and three ice cream cones. A girl comes to the window to say they have no more banana and asks if I would like something else. I didn't want anything else, so I said no thank you. She hands us the the cones and tried to close the window. I say, "excuse me, but I would still like to be refunded for the flurry I purchased. (Which was 4.50) she says fine as she told her eyes and slams the window. Like she REALLY expected I was going to let them just keep my money!! And I even had already tipped them! She makes me wait for a LONG A TIME, then Congress back with only $3.98. NINE DIMES, A NICKLE, AND FOR PENNIES! When I paid, I have them quarters, I KNOW you have them. You did that on purpose to be spiteful. Terrible service. Terrible selection, and barely mediocre ice cream. We threw away half of the other cones. ?I should have taken my tip back! Zero stars. Stay away at all costs. Two thumbs way, way down. ??

It was a great stop for ice cream with the grand kids. Saw other people's plates and the food looks really good. Will stop for breakfast with them next time.

Best breakfast in town. Too busy in summer. It's great when all the vacationers go away in the fall/winter.

It was a little confusing figuring out if they were open at first,. A female worker walked by back and forth a few times and did not make eye contact or check the window, but eventually she came to the window. We were just about to check around to see if they were actually closed. Easy to order, once we were waited on.Parking: Ample parking on the side of the building and next door ample space to maneuver around the parking lot and outdoor tables.Wheelchair accessibility: Ample parking and space to maneuver around the building, parking lot and outdoor tables.
