“If you have ever wondered what it is like to be a part of a big Italian family where everyone is in the kitchen cooking and having a great time doing it...Pizza Mambo is that place! It's a little bit of Italy in the Midwest! We had such a fun time here! Being new to the area, they welcomed us like we were old family friends. The Caesar salad was fresh with homemade dressing and the pizza was delicious! We've also had David's homemade lasagna which came complete with a hand-decorated box to go! Oh! And you must try the key lime pie! That's homemade too! We love this place and the people here!”
“Made my day 2 days in a row while i was in town for work. The single slices were amazing. Their home made ranch is top tier? got the taco salad with chorizo today & it is DELICIOUS. Ended up buying a bottle of their ranch with my food today, Well worth it.❤️”
“We were in the area and during a ride we happened upon Outside Coffee Co. We were so happy that we did because it was like a little oasis of good vibes and good drinks. The cafe is a mixture of a cafe and apparel and merch shop. They sell local art and lots of great products. They also rent equipment like umbrellas, bikes, etc. for you to enjoy the dunes nearby. There is plenty of parking and there are plenty of drink options. Both warm and iced. I ordered a lemonade and it was freshly squeezed, y'all. I LOVE IT. The kids had an icee and iced matcha. The part we loved the most was the outside of the cafe. They have unique seating, like swings on a table, and hammocks to relax on. There is pretty lighting, and I don't know what it is but the breeze just felt different there. It was a nice place to relax. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and helpful. The owner, and artist, was so friendly and welcomed us into her store. She explained how she made her art and a little history of the shop. All in all, they have great coffee and drinks, an awesome ambiance and vibe, and great staff. If you're in the Douglas or Saugatuck area, make sure you plan on stopping by. It's totally worth the visit to relax, take in some zen and caffeine, and maybe take some art home with you. Can't wait to visit again!Parking: Lots of parking.Kid-friendliness: Definitely have kid-friendly options.”
“A MUST! Our first time to the area and wanted an easy lunch. The Kale Caesar is AMAZING! We also had the rosemary ham sandwich and a few other salads from the case... all 10/10.”
“Delicious gelatos and sorbettos. They have a great variety of flavors for purchase. We always stock up on the individual serving cups and ice cream sandwiches, but they have larger sized cartons. I also noticed they have a growing selection of vegan options. We first had their gelatos and ice cream sandwiches in local restaurants and it's nice being able to get them for home. The individual serving cups are $5 or 10 for $40. They always have great service.”
“Best food I've had in a minute! Everything was perfect! I even loved my mom's coffee even though I don't really drink coffee! So smooth! My mom had biscuits and gravy, and they were amazing! Best she's had in this area so far, and my hashbrown omelette was amazing too! Yummy! And I loved our waitress. She's too kind. ”
“We had a late lunch at Saugatuck Brewing Co. during the week- so I can not fully speak to atmosphere and service. However, our server was great. The food was delicious (I had the Cali Rueben and my husband had the chicken shawarma). Our beer flights were great too. You get a generous six 5 oz pours. I liked all my selections with the Vienna being my favorite. I would definitely return if we are in the area again.”
“We live in Saugatuck, and the first time for breakfast. It was rainy day on Saturday morning, place was busy and had to wait for a while. The food was a great and friendly service. But I wish it had more tables so we don't have to wait. Because we were very hungry ?.”
“Amazing food, service and atmosphere! We love sitting at the bar during happy hour, the apps and drinks are incredible. If you are looking for a fun place to go with excellent food, I would 10 out of 10 recommend Everyday People Cafe!”
“Respite has GREAT coffee and food! I've been going here for years and I've never been disappointed. It's definitely worth a stop in! It's not very large inside, but it's cozy and welcoming.”
“Had a good time and learned a lot about how they process their coffee and why. People were friendly and patient as we went to the coffee shop instead of here. Very worthwhile.”
“We were in town for a quick trip and wanted a "not so fancy" bite to eat. This place was absolutely perfect and Melanie is a freaking GEM. Fantastic service and conversation and the food was exactly what we were hoping for a delicious. Beer is good anywhere you go, but go see Melanie, she will take care of you!”
“The absolute best kept secret in the Douglas/Saugatuck area. Local hang out with ice cold beer, frozen mugs, IPA draft if you have to have it. The best air fryer food I have ever tasted. Owner operated. Very nice people working there,”
“This is a pretty small and cozy restaurant. It is one of my favorite places in town to eat at. Beer and wine are available. I love their pizza and feel that it's the best in town and I've tried nearly all. I would describe their crust as thin when compared to other pizza places. The other menu items can hit and miss. Their wet burrito is good but not great. They recently overhauled their menu and added a few items. They now have one or two soups available daily and I gave a big thumbs up for the chicken noodle. Their Italian salad dressing is made inhouse and is very good. They do get busy and they do some bang up drive-through business. They open at 16:00, so I either suggest getting there before 17:30 or try for a later dinner around 19:30. They are under relatively new ownership and there have been some ongoing adjustments being made to the staff, menu, and preparation. I like Kayla and Shelly for my waitress. I would describe parking as adequate for the location. As another reviewer mentioned, an Olive Garden will open soon in this market and I hope that it will prove to be some healthy competition as any restaurant should have the room and impetus to improve.”
“We’ve been here multiple times and have always had a great experience. It’s the perfect spot for a date night or to hang out with friends for high end cocktails. Food options are limited, but good. They are also dog friendly, which is a huge plus!”
“I’ve dined at Michelin starred restaurants throughout the world and this is one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve had in Michigan. The food is amazing and service was impeccable. The scallop, lamb lollipop, and seared foie gras were my favorite dishes but the entire tasting menu was delicious.”
“Holland has pretty bad food in general, Doeb's is one of the few places my GF and I get genuinely excited to eat at. Pretty fantastic Detroit style pizzas with decent prices. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but definitely the best in Holland.Vegetarian options: Not vegan to my knowledge, but like most pizza places you can get cheese/veggie pizzas and I haven't had issues.”
“Awesome place. Very atmospheric. Not like other places. Nice food and drinks. Tasty bread, which is probably made in place. Even salads taste better. I wish there were more places like this, rather than average network spots.”
“We had a great time at Bowdies! We sat upstairs and our server Lian (?) was so attentive and polite. Ww ordered the scallops for an appetizer which was soooo very good. We shared the Cowboy Ribeye and that meal was so very tasty! Our evening was fun and we enjoyed our meal! 10/10!”
“A magnificent restaurant with the best and freshest ingredients. The service was exceptional, we sat at the bar, the drinks were beautifully constructed by an expert mixologist, Kaitlyn, and the overall ambience was cozy and welcoming. SotE is definitely on my go to list of restaurants in the area.”
“Had a phenomenal lunch today! The toppings are out of this world, perfect crunch to the crust, and a homemade sauce that's out of this world! If you like crispy pepperoni, this is your spot!! All of that in a super chill and cool environment! Great job Chewie and staff!”
“I am not a big wine drinker but they have the best sweet white wine I have ever had. Sweet Kay and Special Blend. Owners, staff and family were great stopped by to chat as we celebrated our birthdays.”
“This an absolute gem of a restaurant. The menu is French/European inspired and focused on highlighting duck in many of the dishes. The ambiance is very relaxed and welcoming. I encourage any diner, from a foodie to someone looking for a more predictable and modest meal, to try this restaurant.”
“Caryl was so kind and helpful. Such a beautiful day and she suggested sitting outside. She even had me try some new wine that I absolutely loved.Got a charcuterie board and it was so wonderful. Highly recommend coming to this place.”
“We stayed at Waypost Brewing as part of our Harvest Host membership (overnight RV parking). Plenty of room for that... and a great outdoor seating area! There were plenty of tables and games (cornhole). It was cold the day we were there so we didn't sit outside for long.I know it's a brewery (I'm not a beer drinker) but they didn't offer any other beverage choices (hard cider, wine, seltzers). All in all a great stop (kind of off the beaten path)... go if you're in the area!”
“First time here, and the food was delicious. The chicken came out quickly, so quickly, I was concerned it would be dry from sitting around. Instead, it was juicy, succulent, and perfectly seasoned (not too salty). Shared sides of grits, greens, coleslaw, and delicious pickles. Mac and cheese was good, but not $18 good. I prefer my grits a bit finer and creamer, but still ended up scraping the bowl! View of the river was lovely and am sure would be wonderful to sit outside on a warmer day. Would love to make this place part of a regular dining rotation, but thought it was a bit pricey even by today's standard.”
“The vegan options are amazing! Came here two days in a row of that tells you anything. ? We got the cheesy vegan breadsticks (I recommend asking for light in the cheese), the giant pretzel with a side of vegan ranch. And for our pizza we got the vegan pepperoni and sausage, plus banana peppers and spinach. Divine! And the best part is the very fun and friendly staff. Highly recommend.”
“Amazing food.Amazing, friendly, staff.Love it.Brings back that old school, great granny flavor.Absolutely amazing sauce.Service, orders, prepared, Faster than any fast food restaurants.Highly recommend, if your a barbecue, catfish, wings, lover.”
“Always a good experience here. They have dairy-free raspberry sorbet, dairy-free chocolate ice cream, and dairy-free vanilla ice cream :)Dietary restrictions: They have dairy-free options!!”
“This was our first time visiting and we had an amazing experience. The food and service were exceptional. Our server did a fantastic job explaining the small plates and walking us through the dishes. We had a the chef’s choice charcuterie, brie tart, ahi tuna, mushroom Carbonara, and a featured halibut dish. All of the food was delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.”
