“Awesome place. Very atmospheric. Not like other places. Nice food and drinks. Tasty bread, which is probably made in place. Even salads taste better. I wish there were more places like this, rather than average network spots.”
“Had a phenomenal lunch today! The toppings are out of this world, perfect crunch to the crust, and a homemade sauce that's out of this world! If you like crispy pepperoni, this is your spot!! All of that in a super chill and cool environment! Great job Chewie and staff!”
“We stayed at Waypost Brewing as part of our Harvest Host membership (overnight RV parking). Plenty of room for that... and a great outdoor seating area! There were plenty of tables and games (cornhole). It was cold the day we were there so we didn't sit outside for long.I know it's a brewery (I'm not a beer drinker) but they didn't offer any other beverage choices (hard cider, wine, seltzers). All in all a great stop (kind of off the beaten path)... go if you're in the area!”
“Caryl was so kind and helpful. Such a beautiful day and she suggested sitting outside. She even had me try some new wine that I absolutely loved.Got a charcuterie board and it was so wonderful. Highly recommend coming to this place.”
“Love coming here and seeing what baked items are in the case. My favorites are the cinnamon rolls and the cheese danishes. I love looking through all of the chicken themed gifts as I'm waiting on my food to be packaged up to take with me. If I'm in the area for lunch, sometimes stop by and get whatever sandwich of the day is being offered and a thing of cold macaroni salad. Both always hit the spot!”
“A magnificent restaurant with the best and freshest ingredients. The service was exceptional, we sat at the bar, the drinks were beautifully constructed by an expert mixologist, Kaitlyn, and the overall ambience was cozy and welcoming. SotE is definitely on my go to list of restaurants in the area.”
“My daughter and I stopped in here on our way to Pier Cove. Must say we will be back for some pies. My daughter got the Banger in a Biscuit, and she loved it!! She has mentioned going back for more.”
“Great small town mom and pop place! I gave the food a 4 because it's basically standard fare, but it's done well. Orders come out fast, and the service is good.”
“Very cool and beautiful place to drink cider, have some snacks, and hang out with some friends. They have plenty of seating outside and limited seating inside. Other than that, it’s really cool. Recommend this place if you want to chill, maybe cozy up to a fire pit and tell some stories.”
“Tourists please don't review this place, we know there is better Mexican food in chicago. As far as the area, this place has the best Mexican food by far! Fajitas are exceptional and tons of food for leftovers, steak tacos are always great, rice & beans are on point. Maybe not the most authentic but great food and EXCELLENT service. Great specials! So happy to have this restaurant in the area.”
“Nice people. Great food. March 2024..back again...still a great place. Cool live band...locals hanging out. Chatted with a local farmer..everyone is so friendly. Small town meeting place.”
“Wife didnt lime her lemon ice cream and gave us a different scoop. Wouldnt take the money even when offfering to pay for the second scoop. From one ice cream shop to another, thanks for understanding! Great customer service”
“I love subway,so many selections and very tasty. Good service was right on it ,good atmosphere and clean.Vegetarian options: I got just veggie most of the time and it is good”
“I’ve dined at Michelin starred restaurants throughout the world and this is one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve had in Michigan. The food is amazing and service was impeccable. The scallop, lamb lollipop, and seared foie gras were my favorite dishes but the entire tasting menu was delicious.”
“Chicken Dinner, Much better than with old Owners!! Thanks we'll be Back !! Been Hearing Great Things about Friday all you can eat Fish !!Only a 4 on Atmosphere. I didn't Pick Food up.”
“This an absolute gem of a restaurant. The menu is French/European inspired and focused on highlighting duck in many of the dishes. The ambiance is very relaxed and welcoming. I encourage any diner, from a foodie to someone looking for a more predictable and modest meal, to try this restaurant.”
“This was our first time visiting and we had an amazing experience. The food and service were exceptional. Our server did a fantastic job explaining the small plates and walking us through the dishes. We had a the chef’s choice charcuterie, brie tart, ahi tuna, mushroom Carbonara, and a featured halibut dish. All of the food was delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.”
“We had a great time at Bowdies! We sat upstairs and our server Lian (?) was so attentive and polite. Ww ordered the scallops for an appetizer which was soooo very good. We shared the Cowboy Ribeye and that meal was so very tasty! Our evening was fun and we enjoyed our meal! 10/10!”
“If you have ever wondered what it is like to be a part of a big Italian family where everyone is in the kitchen cooking and having a great time doing it...Pizza Mambo is that place! It's a little bit of Italy in the Midwest! We had such a fun time here! Being new to the area, they welcomed us like we were old family friends. The Caesar salad was fresh with homemade dressing and the pizza was delicious! We've also had David's homemade lasagna which came complete with a hand-decorated box to go! Oh! And you must try the key lime pie! That's homemade too! We love this place and the people here!”
“Always a great experience and food here! The sandwiches are amazing. The Cubano and turkey club are my go to's The mini meatloaf and steakhouse potato salad are a couple of my favorites from the deli.”
“Made my day 2 days in a row while i was in town for work. The single slices were amazing. Their home made ranch is top tier? got the taco salad with chorizo today & it is DELICIOUS. Ended up buying a bottle of their ranch with my food today, Well worth it.❤️”
“We were in the area and during a ride we happened upon Outside Coffee Co. We were so happy that we did because it was like a little oasis of good vibes and good drinks. The cafe is a mixture of a cafe and apparel and merch shop. They sell local art and lots of great products. They also rent equipment like umbrellas, bikes, etc. for you to enjoy the dunes nearby. There is plenty of parking and there are plenty of drink options. Both warm and iced. I ordered a lemonade and it was freshly squeezed, y'all. I LOVE IT. The kids had an icee and iced matcha. The part we loved the most was the outside of the cafe. They have unique seating, like swings on a table, and hammocks to relax on. There is pretty lighting, and I don't know what it is but the breeze just felt different there. It was a nice place to relax. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and helpful. The owner, and artist, was so friendly and welcomed us into her store. She explained how she made her art and a little history of the shop. All in all, they have great coffee and drinks, an awesome ambiance and vibe, and great staff. If you're in the Douglas or Saugatuck area, make sure you plan on stopping by. It's totally worth the visit to relax, take in some zen and caffeine, and maybe take some art home with you. Can't wait to visit again!Parking: Lots of parking.Kid-friendliness: Definitely have kid-friendly options.”
“The vegan options are amazing! Came here two days in a row of that tells you anything. ? We got the cheesy vegan breadsticks (I recommend asking for light in the cheese), the giant pretzel with a side of vegan ranch. And for our pizza we got the vegan pepperoni and sausage, plus banana peppers and spinach. Divine! And the best part is the very fun and friendly staff. Highly recommend.”
“First time here, and the food was delicious. The chicken came out quickly, so quickly, I was concerned it would be dry from sitting around. Instead, it was juicy, succulent, and perfectly seasoned (not too salty). Shared sides of grits, greens, coleslaw, and delicious pickles. Mac and cheese was good, but not $18 good. I prefer my grits a bit finer and creamer, but still ended up scraping the bowl! View of the river was lovely and am sure would be wonderful to sit outside on a warmer day. Would love to make this place part of a regular dining rotation, but thought it was a bit pricey even by today's standard.”
“Great place perfect little dive bar, it has been cleaned up nicely since the last time I was in there 30 years ago. Staff was very friendly and the service was quick, food was very good.”
“Best food I've had in a minute! Everything was perfect! I even loved my mom's coffee even though I don't really drink coffee! So smooth! My mom had biscuits and gravy, and they were amazing! Best she's had in this area so far, and my hashbrown omelette was amazing too! Yummy! And I loved our waitress. She's too kind. ”
“Delicious gelatos and sorbettos. They have a great variety of flavors for purchase. We always stock up on the individual serving cups and ice cream sandwiches, but they have larger sized cartons. I also noticed they have a growing selection of vegan options. We first had their gelatos and ice cream sandwiches in local restaurants and it's nice being able to get them for home. The individual serving cups are $5 or 10 for $40. They always have great service.”
“Welcome to Phil's - where the drinks flow like gossip at a PTA meeting and the flavors dance on your palate like a drunken ballerina. Let's talk about the real star of the show: the Bloody Marys. These aren't just drinks; they're like Picasso paintings for your taste buds, leaving you wondering if you should sip it or hang it in a museum. Now, onto the grub. Brace yourself because Phil's burger is about to give your taste buds a thrill ride they'll never forget. It's the reigning champ in town, although I'd suggest swapping that Ciabatta bun for something softer - unless you enjoy feeling like you're wrestling with your lunch. But it's not just about the burger - Phil's has comfort food down to a science. The ham and cheese plate is like a warm hug from Grandma, if Grandma was a culinary wizard. And let's not forget the specials - the slow-cooked beef barbacoa tostadas were a flavor explosion that left us begging for more like Oliver Twist in a foodie twist. And let's give a round of applause to the waitresses who bust their buns to make sure you leave with a smile. Their charm and hustle don't go unnoticed, and as a bonus, you get some animal crackers at the end - because who says adults can't indulge in a little nostalgia with their dessert? Phil's isn't just a restaurant; it's a gastronomic adventure filled with flavor, friendly faces, and a sprinkle of whimsy.”
“Cute little coffee shop. A friend had a bag of their ground coffee and it was excellent so my husband and I thought we would check out the shop. He got the nitro cold brew and loved it. I requested a latte that they no longer had on their menu, but had it listed online. The barista kindly offered to make it even though it wasn’t an offering on their current selection. I am glad she did as it was delicious . If we lived closer, I would make it a regular stop.”
“I am not a big wine drinker but they have the best sweet white wine I have ever had. Sweet Kay and Special Blend. Owners, staff and family were great stopped by to chat as we celebrated our birthdays.”
