I started coming to EPC when a fresh food wholesaler recommended them. “Of all the restaurants I serve, Everyday People chooses the best of the best!”
We drive from Grand Haven to get the perfect pear martini and old fashioned, then order our favorite Pizza Bianca.
For dinner it’s the Sea Bass and the Pork Chop or Togarishi chicken, red curry, or Asian Caesar… it’s all amazing.
Service is top notch, atmosphere is always fun, and we love the Douglas vibe.

Was traveling / visiting Grand Rapids. Invited here by acquaintances. I have had supreme filet mignon in my life and have no problem spending $45 for it if it is indeed supreme or close to that. BUT !!!...When a restaurant serves to me what they did Sat evening it's extremely disappointing. I was almost embarrassed for them. A good chef who has quality control over his kitchen would never allow such low quality to leave their kitchen. Ordered it Med. Was not medium but that wasn't the main issue. Good God it was very dry and tough. We kept cutting into it and inspecting the meat and concluded that it looked and felt texture wise like roast beef. We were like , if this is indeed Filet it's the strangest looking cut we have ever seen. Just Awful. You have been duly warned but take shot. Maybe it was a one off bad plate. But suspect not. The waiter was excellent. We didn't ask for a replacement because it was obvious that is was more than just overcooking.

Came to town to visit my sister and she insisted on going to Everyday People Cafe.... and I am glad she did! The atmosphere was inviting, open and casual. The staff, as well as the customers, were happy, inviting and attentive. Drinks were expertly crafted and chilled to perfection. I was given the inside story on a long stading appetizer; the Sesame encrusted Ahi Tuna. Glad I received that Intel as it was spot on point... just like the tuna! Amazing! For an entree I have the pork chops. Cooked to perfection with caramelized onions and demi glaze. If you're in Douglas, MI you must make time to visit Everyday People Cafe, you won't be disappointed!

On our third trip to Saugatuck/Douglas area we tried “Everyday People Cafe” in Douglas. WOW! The best food and the absolute best service we have had in this area. Had the Chilean Sea Bass and my partner had the filet. 10 out of 10 on both! The only thing better than the food was our waiter Michael. This guy and this restaurant rocks! Michael, we’ll be back to see you soon. We need to move here!

One of my favorite meals from my trip to the Douglas/Saugatuck area. Food was hands down delicious (get the chicken!!). Service is attentive and friendly. And the atmosphere is a mix of pretty and fun. One place I look forward to going back.

Nestled in Downtown Douglas, this delightful restaurant offered up delicious cocktails (in Nick and Nora glasses ), interesting entres, and dessert that left us wide-eyed. Take a bus, a car, a boat or a bike-but get there and enjoy! And the service was impeccable.
