The staff is always welcoming and kind! They have the best food selection for a coffee shop (in my opinion). They come up with unique, but DELICIOUS, menu items that always bring me back! Their drip coffee never disappoints but they also have tea options among so many others for the perfect drink no matter the season!

My frozen coffee was delicious and perfect with the hot weather. The service is friendly and fast. I highly recommend making this a stop if you're visiting Douglas.

This bagel was unreal delicious ? we tried to come a few days earlier & had to come back do to internet going down. So having a back up plan would have been helpful, but we were very pleased with the results of coming back for a second try!

I stopped at Respite one day for coffee and was very happy with my experience. The weather was nice, so the outside seating was very comfortable and relaxed. My coffee was quite good as well, and enjoying it while sitting at a small table on the sidewalk was pleasant. I’d definitely recommend Respite for a relaxing time.

Quaint little coffee shop, and very nice staff! Only thing I wish was there was pricing on the menus.
Our order was a lot more $$ that we expected and given there was a big line behind us, we felt embarrassed changing our order due to how costly it was once we finalized what we wanted.
Other than that the food was excellent and the service was great.

This is one of our go-to places for brunch or lunch whenever we are vacationing in Douglas/Saugatuck. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. Everything we've ordered has been good, but we especially recommend the baked oatmeal bowl, the peach cobbler bar, and to drink: the zebra.

Very cute, little coffee shop in Downtown Douglas. The staff were great. They were patient while I waited for my husband to text me his order and explained the difference in drinks. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is fantastic! Me and my family are vacationing up here, and we decided on this place for coffee one morning. I ordered online; one of the pastries I’d ordered had run out, so they gave me a call to see if any of the others they had there would be good replacements so they’d have everything ready when I got there (great service!!). The place is absolutely adorable inside. It feels really homey but pretty (think like a shabby chic, kind of cottagecore aesthetic). Everyone at the front counter was sooooo sweet!! Since one of the pastries I’d wanted had run out, they offered me another one with a discount. The coffee and pastries were so, so, SO good. I’m gonna be dreaming about that blackberry crumble bar for weeks, lol. Great experience all the way around.
