Timberline is consistently great! Friendly service, great food, good portions. Atmosphere is very much like a supper club. It’s a hidden gem in Southwest Michigan!
A great restaurant located in a wooded area, near Indian lake. Service was impeccable, our server Dana M was great. My ribeye steak was fantastic as was my wife's. The best we have had in years, and I like steak. The salad was crispy and fresh. I would rate them at 100%, we plan to go again.
The quintessential supper club.

Had dinner with my partner last night and we both enjoyed dinner. I had the broiled walleye and he had the blackened salmon, both delicious. Home made rolls were fresh with a delightful, chewy texture and the freshly made dressings on the salads were great too. Paired with a glass of Meomi pilot noir, I was really happy with my meal. The only downside was the noise level but we would definitely return at some point.

A delightful supper club atmosphere. Excellent food and service. We dine here every summer on vacation. Highly recommend dining here!
Got the prime rib last night. Outside area was very tender and tasty. Brought home the rest and had tonight. Was a large center piece, and sorry to say, very disappointed with with the results. Not tender at all, and as would be expected, very chewy. Flavor was good, but not what I expected for the price tag. Wife had a filet and loved it. Very tender and tasty. Will go back for the filet, but not the prime rib, sadly.

Visited for the first time last week, and we will be back! Such a gem out in the woods, ask to be in the patio area and you will see deer and ducks and huge old trees right out the window. The regular dining room was rather packed at 6:30 and the patio was empty and quiet. It does have open doors to the bar, but we could only hear that Terry wanted Pinot Grigio and got Sauv Blanc instead. Was still happy.
The food was excellent, even if the steaks were leaning more toward medium than mid rare. Nice fresh salad, one of the better French onion soups we’ve had, and a decent wine list! Speaking of… our only complaint was that our server brought out our bottle with glasses that were SO dirty, proceeded to pour wine and try to take them away when we noticed/mentioned. Then she went to retrieve clean ones- but we didn’t know we had to wait for a complete dishwasher cycle only to have HOT wine glasses arrive. (What?!) We had to pour water in to cool them off before swapping out the old gross ones. When everything else is so nice here, maybe a crash course in clean glassware should be a thing for all front of house. You have great wine glasses- they should be clean and polished and ready to go before dinner service. We also almost got a filthy steak knife too, but she caught that one.
Food was great quality. Portions were worth the price. Server was attentive and friendly. All around pleasant evening. We will be back.
1. The French onion soup was the best I’ve ever had.
2. The Parmesan Crusted Walleye was delicious!
3. The new owners Matt and Haley are super sweet and love to connect with customers.
A little hidden gem in the middle of no where.
Amazing place, wonderful service! The place is a classic American restaurant. It is a local institution. My parents had their rehearsal dinner there in 1968

This is a little GEM of a restaurant, the staff was very pleasant and there seemed to be quite a few regulars. I had the Scallops with a special garlic cream sauce and fresh green beans with bacon. My husband had the 16oz Prime Rib Dinner. The food was very good. Richard our server was very polite and energetic!! Will visit again soon!!
Visited this restaurant for the first time last night. Unfortunately, it will probably be our last. We went to try the prime rib because we haven’t been able to find great prime rib in the area. Turns out the prime rib was amazing! The owner came to our table and was very friendly. However, the rest of our experience was disappointing to say the least. We had a later reservation and were only one of two or three tables left towards the end of the night. Despite the fact that they did not seem busy, our waitress never came around to our table unless she was taking our order or delivering food. Our food took quite a while to arrive at our table considering the low number of people in the restaurant - even our soups and salads prior to the meal. At the end of our dinner our waitress acted irritated that we wanted to see the dessert cart. When she brought our bill there was a QR code at the top that we were apparently expected to use to pay because she never came back. Due to poor reception it was taking quite a while, but no one came to offer to just take our card and run it manually. To be honest, we could’ve just gotten up and walked out without paying and no one would have noticed. It just made an already disappointing experience worse. When spending the amount of money that we did there is a level of service that is expected to come with it, and this just fell flat.
Great old-style supper club!
