Even if you don't buy anything, the drove is worth it! Cool place run by monks. Heavenly treats and jams!

I would recommend getting there early in the morning. I went around 3ish and probably waited 20-30 minutes to get in. There was still a good selection but some of the morning stuff sounded good but they didn’t have any left. I do wish they had a limit on what people could buy. There was a few people before me who came out with boxes of stuff. The food was still amazing. I recommend to anyone who is heading that way.

It's a touristy stop. A line forms outside because it's usually busy and there's only one person checking people out. It's a very small unusual place run by monks. A must stop on the Keweenaw Peninsula.

Pricey and full of tourists but they have good products. And who wouldn't want to buy sweets from monks?
Very nice, worth the stop. This is run by an association of local monks (st Joseph order I believe, respect their peace, solitude, and the area when visiting). The jams/jellies are all made and sold by the order of the monks and very delicious. They also have local honey, maple syrup, and coffee. They also have delicious baked goods available (the ginger walnut bread (soaked in brandy) is very good!!). Located a short walk from the building is Joseph falls, a beautiful waterfall roadside. No dining menu at this location.
Vegetarian options: Just jams/jellies, honey, maple syrup and baked goods here. Just ask.
Dietary restrictions: Just ask. Jams/jellies, honey, maple syrup, and baked goods
Parking: Lots of parking in gravel lot. Space at far end for trailers, campers, 5th wheels.
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly small shop
Wheelchair accessibility: Gravel lot, small tight shop, one entry door from wooden ramped deck.

As a retired chef, I will put this simple...
If you come to the Upper Peninsula and you don't stop by this awesome little shop of breads and jams. Yer gonna burn in the lakes of fire... Just kidding. YOu really should come and try the Thimbleberry Jam, Apple Butter, and their wide assortments of bakery goods. I go up there every weekend for my weekly munchies.,

It's a small store and there can be a line of people waiting just to get inside but it's worth the wait. My daughter bought some cashew carmels and they were fantastic. We wished we'd bought more. My entire family would highly recommend this location.

This shop is good but their popularity makes the little shop a bit crowded. I'd still recommend a stop but expect there to be a crowds
